I got a shipping notice this evening. The whole box weighs just 1.6lbs..

Tammi

I saw that too…is it the lightest box so far?

Reply ButtonReply

Tori

This does not sound like something I would use, but still hoping for other fun items. How do I get more information about the trade board someone mentioned for items I wouldn’t use?

Reply ButtonReply

Janina King

There’s a trade board page on Facebook

My enthusiasm for this product depends on if it arrives before or after I leave for FL later this month. Don’t fail me PS! 😉

Katherine

Have those sunglasses been in any of the previous PSMH boxes? Do we think they’ll be included??

Reply ButtonReply

JillA

Maybe the glass of water with blueberries will be included?

Reply ButtonReply

Ana

The sunnies are Illesteva Leonard’s and they’re similar to the ones from the cfda box by popsugar a month or so ago. Rv for sunnies $177, lol

Mimi

This is great for people with Brunette hair. I already have highlights in my hair that I have to work super hard to keep from getting brassy in the sun. Yay!

Tracy Perry

When do you all usually get your boxes? Last month I got mine on the 10th. Here it is the 6th and so far, no shipping notice in my emails. Was that early or normal last month?

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Same here, I just got my tracking notification. I still really wonder if cheeky means blush or bum bum cream 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Kristy

I just got a shipping notice today for my PSMH box. Nothing about my PSMH Mini though. I always seem to get them around the 20th or later. Their shipping takes a while (but I live in MN).

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

I just got my shipping notification for my Mini today but nothing for regular box yet and I’m in Iowa. I usually don’t get shipping for regular until 10th or so, then it’s another 10 days until I get it.

Tamara

Yay for Sachauan and not being a sea salt spray. Boo for not being something I have an actual use for. Oh well. To the swap board! Meanwhile I hope I like the rest of the box better.

Jess

I know because who needs conditioner and sun protection for their hair????

Reply ButtonReply

stfne

What’s with the sass in all the replies to people who say they don’t need a product like this??? Humans survived for centuries without this product; clearly it is not a necessity. What if she wears hats? Shaves her head (and uses regular sunscreen)? Works nights and sleeps days? There are plenty of reasons someone might not need sun protection for their hair.

Jem

What is this swap board?

Thanks 😉

Joy

I love my natural summer highlights so this will be going up for swap. Hopefully someone who colors their hair will want it.

Reply ButtonReply

Joanna

My thoughts exactly. My summer hair is my BEST hair 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Tracy

I’m excited about this product. Both my daughter & I have colored hair & she was thinking of going more dramatic with a crazy color, so this will be perfect for the rest of summer. We were actually looking for something like this…

Reply ButtonReply

AmyM

At first I was underwhelmed, but now that I know it doubles as a styling product, I’m intrigued. I love a multi-tasking beauty product! Nice start for the July box.

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

Fantastic! I’m looking forward to this box. My hair needs all the help it can get so I’m a little obsessed with masks and conditioners and sprays.

Reply ButtonReply

Faye

Looks like a great product, but I’ll end up swapping mine. I like getting natural highlights from the sun every now and then.

Reply ButtonReply

Leticia Garcia

What do you mean swap?

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

Trading items with someone else so you can both get the items you prefer.

Anna

That looks like a great product! I’ve actually been wanting to try a sun protector for hair. Too bad I’m on a tight budget and there’s no room in there for Popsugar..might be time to give the swap board a look-see 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Jet

I fell the same. Finally a product I’d be excited to try. I’ve been using one from the UK for years and love it. Would be nice to try a multipurpose one. We’ll see, maybe other spoilers will change my mind, or like you said, the swap board may prove fruitful. ⚡️Jet

I may be in the minority, but I am super pumped about this item. I spend a lot of time in the ocean in the summer, and my normally brunette hair has a tendency to turn Trump orange. If this can stop that, it will be a miracle!

monah

My beautiful black chow gets red highlights in the spring and fall! And a lot of times she gets red in places during the winter. And they are splotchy. With all that hair she loves to bask in the sun on a chilly day. She never wants to come in! We live in Texas so in the summer she has a beautiful black coat cuz she doesn’t like the heat and stays indoors. I should look into something for her coat since it’s so difficult keeping her inside on cool and cold days. My red chow would get beautiful highlights

You might think about adding salmon oil to her kibble. I give my 100 lb lab/hound mix two squirts of Grizzly salmon oil (available on Amazon) with each meal. It’s done wonders for his skin and coat! It is also supposed to help with joint and mobility issues, which many larger dogs experience as they age. It helps disguise the glucosamine pill I add to each meal too.

Tessa

Yay! Sounds good to me! Fingers crossed for a great July box, July Mini box, AND Mystery box (wishful thinking 🙂 )

Reply ButtonReply

Kristy

I have all 3 headed my way too! There has to be at least a few things we will love ? I just don’t want anymore tassel necklaces in my mystery box! ? (why is there a tassel necklace emoji!!)

Reply ButtonReply

Orlee

I fear this means tassels are not going away anytime soon! 🙁

(Seriously they are everywhere in the stores now. I am all for tassel banishment!)

Chantteé

I’m excited! Finally we get a hair product during the summer that is not a wave spray. I can’t create a beach wave without a curling iron. But this sounds cool, I’ve been wondering what to use to protect my color anyway.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Ahhh, I got excited for a sec and thought this was one of the sun hair lighteners from the 90’s – which would totally go with retro/vintage/sunny… but I can totally see why it wouldn’t work for everyone of course! I like that it’s different at least and not a totally cliche item!

Reply ButtonReply

Amber P

Haha – I thought the same thing. My mom would buy Sun In all the time and I’d douse my hair in it every chance I got!

Reply ButtonReply

Jet

They still sell it’ supposedly a better, more gentle, good for your hair version. My 16 year old uses the John Freda one in summer, helps to lighten without tons of bleach.

Laura Hon

Is it a lightener? Like Sun In? Remember that stuff?? Think it had lemon juice.

Reply ButtonReply

ME

Loved Sun In but then went straight to lemon juice which I still use every once and a while. Of coarse Sun In was used with baby oil for the that nice crispy tan. Ah the things we did in the (xx)’s.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

I totally thought that too!! It doesn’t sound like it though, drats! Haha those probably aren’t good for your hair anyway!?

Reply ButtonReply

stfne

I think it’s supposed to prevent lightening maybe….one of the reviews on Amazon mentions she hoped the product would keep her hair from “bleaching out” while on vacation.

Reply ButtonReply

Khaleesi

I like it! We have a lot of sun year round so sunscreen is a must for my skin, but your hair is next 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Kara

I really don’t see why I would
need sun protection for my hair. If it was a heat protector I would be a lot more excited, but this is a total dud for me. Hopefully the rest of the box is better suited to me!

Reply ButtonReply

Ally

Hair can get sun damaged too! It damages the cuticle and makes hair dry/frizzy/brittle. Just like skin tones, some people are at a higher risk than others. It can cause yellowing in chemically-treated hair and unwanted color fading in natural hair too. Unlike skin, sun damage to hair is purely aesthetic because..well… you can’t get “hair cancer”.

Wow I sound like a cheesy infomercial…

Reply ButtonReply

Katherine

You can get sunburn on your scalp and get skin cancer there. Not a place that most people think about putting sun protection. Unless you wear a hat every time you are out.

Kara

I guess the reason I say it’s not a good fit for me is because I rarely spend more than ten minutes or so a day outside. I totally believe hair can get sun damaged, but mine definitely needs more protection from a flat iron!

stfne

I guess this is the “sunny” part of the theme? I looked at the website for this product and I’m not sure I get it. Is this basically sunscreen for your hair?

Still keeping my fingers crossed for a watermelon tap or a solar powered phone charger!

Reply ButtonReply

Lyndsey

Oh yeah a watermelon tap would be cool!!

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Yes I think it’s a sunscreen for your hair that also can work as a styling cream. I’m intrigued because I’ve sampled Sachajuan before and I liked the formula and the scent of that product, so I’m hoping the same goes for this one! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Randi

I think it sounds pretty good – I wasn’t excited at first when I saw sunscreen, but then I noticed that it can be used as a styling cream. Looks like it has pretty good reviews too

stfne

Thanks Liz! Clearly I am a hair care nincompoop. But I’m always open to trying new things!
