Play! By Sephora August 2016 Subscription Box FULL SPOILERS

I love what I am getting. Looks to be the best Play box I have received yet. (started in May) So excited. A eyeliner that is NOT black??!! Yeah!! I need a brown/ taupe. Always wanted to try the UD Mascara, have tons of samples, so not buying any Mascara for a while. The MUF eyeshadow looks so pretty and would love to try their Formula. Caudalie eye product and the Lancome cream also look great. I can’t wait till my box comes. Especially, with my lackluster August Ipsy box, Sephora’s Play this month, beats it hands down. Will give Ipsy one more month, and then will decide which of the 2 subs I should keep, as I only want to receive one box. Getting lot of samples and trying to reduce the clutter. But still like to receive a little something each month.

Looks like September’s preview video just went up – the theme: “The Unbasic Basics”. Trying to watch for little clues and so far my guesses are a pink/rose lipstick and a black eyeliner (you catch a glimpse of both during the video), a skincare item, a haircare item. Maybe the fifth item will be a nail polish (the booklet for next month shows a lot of different shapes on the front of products but the whole item is just white). Again, totally guessing on all of this but thats part of the fun! ?

Looks like a fantastic box! Great items, if not to keep then very swappable. For the price, I can’t believe anyone is complaining. I’m most excited about the mascara and the eye pencil (YAY for a non-black color!). Don’t care for the perfume, I have so many scents already – but again, it’s swapable.

I haven’t been billed yet for this month and this is only my second month with Play. Is this normal? Has everyone else gotten billed? Someone please let me know. Thanks.

This will be my second month and while I liked the July box I’m thinking I may like this one even better. Love that they aren’t sending out black eyeliner. Not that I don’t like it but I have so many already and Ipsy is sending me another one this month when they already sent me one last month. Love eye creams and I’ve tried one already from Algenist that was nice and I love Caudalie products. I’ve never tried the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara before so that will be a nice addition to the ton of UD products I already have. I’ve also never tried out the MUFE eyeshadows before so I’m excited for it. Looks like a beautiful color and hoping that the sample is a decent size. The Lancome moisturizer looks nice and I can always use a good moisturizer. I’m not crazy about the Clean scents but the Blonde rose sounds like something I might like if I’m lucky enough to get it.

I personally think that after seeing what I’m getting in my IPSY bag this month any other box looks fantastic including this one. I can live with any of those choices but receiving exactly what you have excluded in your profile to be part of your bag. Why bother with these dumb profiles? Anyway, back to the play box, at least it is something to look forward to….

Not happy about any box s this month just target beauty ???

I was about to cancel for August after July’s disappointing box but then I decided to check for spoilers. Guess I’m hooked for another month! I am secretly suspecting this is Sephora’s way of getting us all to hang on for another month or something…

Not very happy about the August box. The Algenist is my HG eye cream so hopefully I get that, but I HATE that Lancome moisturizer- it’s full of alcohol and painfully dries my usually oily skin skin/makes me break out. I have a million eye pencils and that mascara will not stay put on me. I see lots of trades in my future!

I’m another fence rider, but after thinking through it I’m totally OK with keeping it going for this month. I realized my initial reaction (blahhh) was more because I don’t need this box than that I wouldn’t like it. My thoughts if anyone cares to read them:

*Love getting eye moisturizers. The samples last a long time and buying a full size is always expensive. Both look good but maybe hoping for Algenist.
*Total MUFE fan yet I’ve never tried their shadows, yet!!! It’s probably too much to hope it is full size, but I hope it’s at least a moderate travel size that will last a while.
*Apparently this is that cult mascara that I’ve never tried — I don’t need it, but it will be fun to try.
**Super kudos for a NON black eyeliner. Freaking finally. I hate black eyeliner on me. Universal color my butt! I actually like the Sephora formula too as it stays pretty well and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. I might have this taupe color, but I don’t mind a replacement.
*I remind myself that the fragrance is a bonus, since I’m not that interested. 🙂
*I’m in love with my ‘green beauty’ skincare right now, but I’ll try this funny ‘literally green’ lotion. I liked a gel-like thing from this line before.

Perversion is probably my favorite mascara so I’m definitely excited for this box on that alone. Also looking forward to the eye renewal products since that’s not something currently in my skin routine, would be happy with either one. That eyeshadow looks pretty and I’ve heard good things, I will definitely use it. The pencil I’ll try out too, the colors look nice. The moisturizer I really want to try, liquid moisturizer sounds interesting and I live off of moisturizer samples lol, I don’t even own a full sized moisturizer because I get so many. Looking forward to perfume too for once. Overall a good box, hoping this anonymous tip is at least mostly correct!

Super excited for this box!!! Fingers crossed, I’d live to receive these items!!! The MUFE eyeshadow is such a pretty color, I’ve always wanted to try them out. Ughhh, its still July and I’m already anxiously waiting for the 3rd week of August!!!!!

This box is so much better than Birchbox. Glad I canceled Birchbox for this one.

I have had this subscription since May and it is quickly becoming my favorite beauty box. I am so excited for the August box!

I am newly off of the wait list and my first bag was July – *loved* it. Looking like I will be enamored with August, too. I am stoked about this sub!

I don’t always love everything in this sub, but I definitely end up liking more of the products than I ever have in other boxes. And I’ve found some products that I absolutely loved and now use regularly, like the Becca primer and the Bare Minerals bronzer. If I can test a few products and find a few that I want to purchase and continue using, I’m happy. And the rest go to a friend in the cute little bag, so she’s happy as well!

Sweeeet. I already use that MUFE shade, and LOVE Perversion (though I wish it was WP.) I like the minis because I can put them in my travel makeup case and not have to put my full size ones in there. This is the first box I am actually happy about from them. I don’t know that specific Energie de Vie product but i use several from that line, and I am sure I will dig it.

Oh, I hope these spoilers are correct. I wonder how they’ll decide who gets what. I’m hoping for the Caudalie eye cream, the plum eye pencil, and the Blonde Wood fragrance, though I’d be happy with the alternatives as well. What a good-looking box!

:Sad Face: Just cancelled. I waited for months to get it and every month for me has been mostly a no for the items. 🙁 I guess I am hard to please. I have a zillion mascaras (thanks birchbox) and eyeliners (thanks Ipsy) and the other potential items didn’t excite me. I figure i can swap for whatever I may want. That’s what I was telling myself as I hit the cancel button. LOL

I was getting ready to ditch sephora. Looks like I’ll be staying on. I hope this is correct. The same person was right about last month’s spoilers. This looks excellent!

I’m excited! sephora has definitely my favorite box now. It has great products. And they are finally sending perfume samples that aren’t from Tocca.
