Nerd Block and IGN teamed up for a limited-edition block. These were limited to 5,000 total blocks and promised 9 collectibles, including 6 exclusives.

The Subscription Box: Nerd Block + IGN Limited Edition Block
The Cost: $39.99 + shipping
The Products:9 amazing collectibles across several fan-favorite gaming and entertainment brands, including 6 EXCLUSIVES specially made just for this block PLUS an officially-licensed Marvel T-shirt designed by ShirtPunch! That’s over $100 of value, for only $39.99! This is our biggest and heaviest block yet!
Ships to: US and Worldwide.
They included a card, like a normal block, with information about the items inside - including all of the different variants you might have received.
Deadpool Shirt - Value $15?
This shirt was actually spoiled, so we knew it was coming - but this an exclusive Deadpool shirt from ShirtPunch. I like that it's a Marvel licensed shirt - so it's just a plain Deadpool shirt - I'm happy with that.
IGN Swag - Value $10-15?
I grouped these together since they were all sporting the IGN logo. Included are a tote, bumper sticker, and IGN pin.
IGN Crew Autograph - Value ?
The last IGN specific item is an autograph from an IGN team member. There were numerous possibilities - I got Destin Legarie who is part of the video team. I think the value of these is based on how much of an IGN fan you are.
Orgrim Funko POP - Value $9 on Amazon
You could have received one of two POPs. Orgrim from Warcraft ,who I received, or the T60 Power Armor from Fallout!
Resident Evil 3 Figure – Nemesis – Value $15-20?
They included 3 items from past Arcade Blocks - I'll get to that in the verdict - one was this Nemesis mini statue from the March Arcade Block. It's a cool little statue, but a duplicate for me.
Deus Ex Universe #1 - Value $3.99
This is an exclusive variant cover from Titan comics. I remember when this was a popular game back in 2000 - I never got into it then, though. I love how a lot of shorter-lived franchises find new life through comics, though!
NES USB Game Controller - Value $10 on Amazon
Any fan of NES emulators will have a blast with this NES controller! It's compatible with PC and Mac, which is always a win for a Mac user such as myself with any subscription box that has digital content or computer accessories.
Also, if you haven't heard - NES is doubling-down on nostalgia this year with the release of their mini NES consoles!
How great is this! I love this, but I kind of wish there was a bit of new technology with it with regards to the controllers - I don't have a direct line of sight to have a cord connected, so I wish it was wireless.
Anyways, back to the controller - instant nostalgia when you start using it!
Gears of War Journal - Value $6 on Amazon
You receive one of 5 different branded journals. Ethier Fallout, Diablo, Gears of War, World of Warcraft, or Uncharted.
This has some great artwork on the front and back lining. it's 192 pages and has a little pocket on the back lining - overall, it's really nice quality.
Street Fighter Patch - Value $5?
This is a patch from the December 2015 Arcade Block.
Classic Console Cards - Value $5?
Also from the December 2015 Arcade Block are these cards. Although this is a duplicate item for me - they're still cool. Here's a gif from the original post:
Russ Moore "Epona's Song" Print - Value $10?
This 8x10 print was on higher-quality glossy paper. I actually received two of them (I guess they got stuck together?). I think it's a nice print for a Legend of Zelda fan.
ShirtPunch Voucher - $10
Yay! I love this new perk. I always go get a Funko POP on my wishlist for just the cost of shipping ($6 to the US).
Verdict: The value was there for a $40 box - but this is a limited edition box that really left me wanting more. My biggest gripe is that they're assuming that you didn't get any past Arcade Blocks and included items as a "bonus". I liked the POP, shirt, controller, and journal - but everything else, especially the IGN branded exclusives, just felt like filler.
What did you think of the Nerd Block + IGN Block? Did this pack enough punch for a limited edition box to you?
