The July 2016 subscription box is benefitting Operation Christmas Child, which collects gift-filled shoeboxes to deliver to children in need around the world.

Cute druzy earrings and pretty hairties from the July 2016 MissionCute subscription box!

Druzy Coral Stud Earrings - Value $12

Summer Floral Hair Ties - Value $8

There are some serious summertime vibes flowing through this July subscription box! These druzy stud earrings have a rough, gem-like texture and an almost neon coral color. They're not the highest-quality earrings (there are some gaps between the gold setting and the gem, which is probably plastic, rather than stone), but they are light and comfortable and will definitely bring a little extra sunshine to a summer outfit.

I've got a soft spot for this style of hair ties, as they don't tend to create that hard crease in your hair the way other ponytail holders do. The patterns and colors of this set are so pretty, and the shimmery pink, gold, and lilac ones are simple enough that they won't look out of place in your outfit long into wintertime.

A floating flamingo drink holder from the July 2016 MissionCute subscription box!

Inflatable Flamingo Drink Holder - Value $1

I swear, I'm seeing these little floating flamingo drink holders everywhere this summer! If I had a pool, I'd be happy to put this little guy to work right away. Instead, I'll just set him on my kitchen table as a summertime trinket. I liked that it only took one big breath of air to get this flamingo inflated, but I'm suspicious of just how reliable a drink holder this $1 bird might be, especially in the water. You'd probably be okay with a lightweight water bottle or a skinny glass of something, but you might want to hold onto your frozen margarita yourself (especially if it's in fancy stemware).

A sea-inspired pillowcase from the July 2016 MissionCute subscription box!

Seaside 18" Pillow Cover - Value $12

This pillow cover isn't quite my style, but it'd be right at home in a beach house sunroom or on a porch swing by the shore. The navy starfish and coral patterns are printed onto the woven pillowcase, which has a natural texture, kind of like rough canvas.

A pink makeup bag from the July 2016 MissionCute subscription box!

Pink Canvas Cosmetic Bag - Value $10

This is a pretty simple, straightforward makeup bag, but it will certainly come in handy in a pinch. I like the hot pink details on the base and the zipper, and it's great that the inside is lined in clear plastic, so spills and such won't ruin your day. Plus, the base is made in such a way that it'd sit upright nicely, so you can easily access its contents while doing your makeup at your vanity or sink.

Inspiring Oprah quote from the July 2016 MissionCute subscription box!

Dwell Quote 5x7 Print - Value $9

This card is printed with a really elegant indigo flower pattern and features an Oprah Winfrey quote in black, handwriting-inspired script: "I know for sure that what we dwell on is who we become."

It's a lovely quote and a nice design, but the $9 price tag feels a little inaccurate. I wish it came framed, rather than just being a simple cardstock print.

Verdict: I really like that MissionCute uses their profits to help others, and the items in the box were fun, summery finds that I'll get use out of. Be aware that the quality of the items isn't the highest, but if pretty gifts and housewares are up your alley, this box will probably be a welcome treat every month!
