This is the only piece of literature that arrived in my box this month, but it's an important feature of Instaglam: they accept returns (for credit) and exchanges!
Black Chiffon Tank Top
Instaglam sends subscribers a short quiz every month which basically asks two things. First, they give you a choice of two different tops to choose from. This was my choice. Thank you so much to everyone for being supportive of my foray into the world of modeling! This month I'm taking another big step by modeling the top I chose, in my usual size, and showing you that it's kind of too small for me. It's a basic chiffon black tank top, which I thought would be great for layering, but as you know, chiffon doesn't stretch. I believe every top I've received from Instaglam so far has had stretch and has been fine, but now I am concerned that their sizes may run small. I think next month's top is also non-stretchy, so we will know more soon.
Black Camisole
In the picture of myself above, I am wearing this cami underneath the tank, but you can't really see it. I'm afraid I don't really understand the concept of layering a cami that can't be seen, but it's always good to have a black cami.
Gold Bracelet
The second thing Instaglam asks on its survey is whether you want gold, silver, or surprise metals. I always choose surprise! I usually can't wear bangles because I have gigantic hands, but this clever bracelet is actually four parts of a bracelet on a stretchy cord, so it was no problem. It fits more like a cuff on me, but it might be bangle-y on women with smaller wrists. I like it! Bonus: the brand name of this bracelet cracked me up a little.
Gem Studs
I always like a nice pair of colored "gem" studs. They are plastic, but they're a pretty color and will be great for extremely casual use.
Necklace & Earrings Set
My last items was this pretty jewelry set, and I really like it! Plus I am totally in the mood for statement gold right now.
I really like the design of the necklace. It's so bold and shiny!
I'm a little hesitant about wearing jewelry sets that match so closely, but I will definitely get a lot of use out of the two pieces separately. Fun!
Verdict: I love Instaglam! That being said, I have a little bit of anxiety about their sizing now that I've tried a non-stretchy shirt from them. Fortunately, they accept exchanges and returns, so I might have to return this top. Otherwise, I like everything else I received and will use it all! I don't have any real way of quantifying the values, but I think $56 for a top, a cami, two pairs of earrings, a bracelet, and a necklace is a great deal!
What do you think of Instaglam? Have you had any issues with sizing?
