I’m watching this sub carefully as I like a lot of the items. IF I wasn’t trying not to spend money right now I’d just sub. FYI folks join the swap section of this site I will be probably trying to swap for the notebook and the other office items since that is my life ๐Ÿ˜‰

So amazing. The absolute perfect box I have been looking for. Dying of joy right now.

I hope there are other things that make me love this box. My field is still rather strict on what is seen as “professional” which stinks but I would never be able to use this, and have more notebooks than I’ll ever need. Hopefully people will want to swap for it.

I’ll swap you for it. I only have beauty items up for swap though.

I think anything with a gun on it is in super poor taste right now. There are other ways to be “edgy”.

It’s a graphic design print with other elements. I get emotions are running high, but I am in no way offended.

I feel like it’s misplaced concern about something that has no real importance. It’s a notebook. If it’s just not someone’s style, cool, I get that. I would point out it is making up part of the word “Love”, and maybe how one person looks at it could be different than how another person could look at the depiction of a gun in that way.

I wouldn’t say all this, but I feel like the door was opened with the statement “in super poor taste” about someone else’s product, which can be perceived as maligning them for doing something wrong, which they surely didn’t.

I feel like it may not be the most popular thing to point out, but it is the lowest thing on a list of things to be concerned about right now. If anyone reading this feels strongly about gun iconography or depictions of firearms, how about going somewhere and feeling strongly about real guns first, because a picture on a notebook isn’t going to harm anyone.

Shrug.

Well said!

If you’re totally cool with guns that’s fine – to each their own but I have to disagree that it’s not “…the lowest thing on a list of things to be concerned about right now.” The gun image negates the message of love. Agree, that an image of a gun is not going to harm anyone but the fewer guns – real or otherwise – in our world the better. *shrug, peace & love*

I’m a gun owner and love skulls so either design appeals to me; however, I can certainly understand why the gun motif may be a concern for many.

With that being said, it would be nice to have the option to choose the design for your notebook. If Founding/Annual members, and even quarterly members, were to choose by a specific deadline far enough in advance, it would allow the manufacturer plenty of time to produce the specific number of notebooks required to fulfill the Fall boxes.

@HappyRebelBox

Hey there! Thanks for the suggestion! These notebook designs were a current item for LM, we bought out all of their remaning stock, and they will not be producing any more ๐Ÿ™‚ This is why we cannot guarantee choices for subscribers, however if any of our members have a particualr preference, feel free to email us at [email protected] and we will send your preferred design if at all possible.

Laura

Couldn’t agree more.

I loved the last box but I don’t need or want office supplies. This is a hard pass for me.

First box and I absolutely love the first spoiler. I really hope I get the love one, it’s so bad***

I had originally signed up for the summer box but it sold out so this will be the first one I get.

I really like that this is an original theme. Not something we’ve seen a dozen times in other boxes already. Both of the notebooks are cute and I like that we’re seeing something with a skull on it ๐Ÿ™‚

I really love the direction HR has been heading.

Me too! I am actually thinking about letting my Popsugar subscription lapse after August and just get Happy Rebel quarterly. Their curation is awesome and the quality of items is really impressive.

Sigh. I fell for that “founding members” trick – sounded like only for the first release. But it’s really just “normal pricing”. I just got wonderful office essentials – and am totally stocked up. This will go up for swap. Hope it’s not a whole office box.

What do you think is so “tricky” about the code, just out of curiosity? It seemed pretty clear to me from the start (and this code has been around a while) – box by box is $100 each; annual is $380, so $20 off normal; the code is worth $50 off the annual price, so $330.

I had to pay tax on mine too, but I think it’s because I’m in the same state the box is done in. Typically on other boxes I don’t pay tax.

@HappyRebelBox

Hi M, I just wanted to clarify! The discount code takes $50 off of the annual membership price. Effective Monday, we will be going back to “normal pricing” of $380 for an annual membership vs. the current $330 discounted membership price (with code). We do not forsee ever offering such a high discount on our annual subscriptions ever again.

I don’t have much need for work office supplies, but Happy Rebel does a great job curating their boxes. I am in love with everything they sent in the summer so I will patiently wait for September. ๐Ÿ™‚
