June’s theme is Beauteque Beauty Treats: Dessert For Your Skin. While many times the themes are irrelevant to the curation, this is a theme we can all get behind!

Skinfood Black Sugar Mask – $13

Subscribers received the A’pieu Rub in Gelato or Skinfood Black Sugar Mask. This Skinfood Black Sugar Mask is a very popular product and can be found all over the internet! The mask helps clear out pores, brighten skin, and allow moisturizing products to absorb optimally into skin after use. I have received this before in other boxes and think it’s an inexpensive but effective physical exfoliating mask. I do recommend thinning out the product with a little water before applying to your face.

Beauty Blending Sponge – $9

I’m not really into blending sponges despite all the hype, but it’s nice to have one on hand! Beauteque suggests using this to apply foundation for a flawless finish.

The Saem Chocopie Hand Cream – $12

This hand cream is packaged and shaped to look like a Choco Pie (the Korean version of Moon Pie). I received the banana version and put it next to a real Chocopie for comparison! The hand cream smells like bananas and has a thick, whipped consistency. It absorbs quickly as well so I have no complaints!

Purederm Vital Radiance Hair Mask in Honey – $4

This is a single-use hair treatment that restores hair weakened by coloring, bleaching, or perms. It contains honey, grapefruit, sweet almond, and shea butter, and is used in the conditioning step of hair cleansing. My hair is low maintenance so I will save this intensive treatment for a special day.

Holika Holika Desert Time Lip Balm – $10

Subscribers get one of a variety of lip balm flavors. I got Peach Cupcake, which looks way too cute to be a lip balm. It smells faintly of peach and feels very moisturizing, but doesn’t really have any color. Usually I favor tube lip balms for easier application… but having an adorable container is an acceptable trade off.

Holika Holika Cover Hiding Concealer No. 2 – $14.50

This is a retractable stick concealer that has medium to full, buildable coverage. Everyone received Shade No. 2. The arm swatch looks very yellow but the shade is perfect when blended. Recently I haven’t needed much makeup coverage, so just a few swipes of this concealer around my face was enough to head out the door. Just be sure not to twist too much out at one time or the stick will break like mine did…

June’s bag is a flat, square-shaped canvas pouch. It’s different from what Beauteque usually sends, and I like it a lot!

Verdict: I’m very happy with June’s Beauteque BB Bag! My favorite product is the Holika Holika concealer but I know that getting skin tone specific products are risky to all subscribers. The estimated value is $62.50, which is more than twice the cost of subscription. I think the Beauteque BB Bag is usually very consistent with their curation and value. I’m looking forward for July’s bag.
