I really love the tote and the “rainbow but not rainbow” towel lol. Wish I had a use for them so I could buy but I hope others enjoy them!

I contacted them to confirm if I’ll receive the Pixi Palette as a new subscriber, and the rep said no because they ran out. And yet they still advertise it on the main page!

I added on the Frizz Fighters kit. Going on vacation to a lakeside cabin in July and can use travel sized hair goods.

Other than that, I’ll not be renewing my annual sub when it’s up. Not due directly to the points changes, but the last two times I contacted customer service I was underwhelmed by the responses I received. And I’ve enjoyed my Sephora box more than my BBs.

Definitely cancelling….if I head to a makeup counter I can get free samples…pretty box but not worth ten bucks for cardboard….just put in my cancel request at the end of my subscription…can de finely head to other cosmetics stores..same items cheaper prices

This month was my 2nd box. BB is very strange. Why can’t BB just tell me the curated box and sample choices and the date from witch I can pick. The points program being taken away. Its cause I joined right that’s all my luck. I always get in to late with the program. This is Balogna!

Nope, doesn’t interest me. I truly am interested to see how this new strategy plays out with them. My sub was up for renewal in July and I am not going to renew. I am going to spend my points and be done with them.

I don’t think I am alone.

I can’t help it I still love Birchbox…I am thinking maybe their samples will be bigger and better after they are done with all the changes!! One can always hope!!

Yes! I still love Birchbox also and personally don’t care that much about the points. It’s a good box at $10, either way.

jeein

nope, CEO said the box itself will remain exactly the same.

My June box still hasn’t shipped. I canceled my account, it was a great reminder of why I got rid of BB in the first place. The add-ons are cute but I feel like I could get an equivalent item elsewhere for a better or same price.

did anyone else not get their Gimme Brow sample in there June box? I’m and ace and was confirmed, but didn’t get it:(.

Same here, so disappointed…

I didn’t either – I actually got a completely different box than what my page said – but I emailed them about it. Alas, they are completely out of the samples, but they put 50 points in my account.

I contacted them and they said they would send another but I am not holding my breath. If I don’t see one in another week I will complain again.

I did get the box shown in my preview, but that box did not have the confirmed sample.

I like those towels…but as a lowly gift subscriber, I don’t get add-ons >:(

A couple months ago I asked about add-ons because I never saw where to add them. In a private message, I found out that as a gift subscriber with no card to be charged for the sub, I couldn’t access it. They did tell me, though, that if I ever saw an add-on I wanted, I could email them and they would manually add it on for the promo price.

Cute add ons. I actually own all of it except for the float from when Hautelook had a sunnylife sale.

An inflatable flamingo float- really Birchbox?

Whitney

I think the idea was that it goes with the other beach/poolside gear. (And the flamingo, swan and donut floats are a huge trend on Instagram, lately).

Betty

The add- ons are really cute ?

Joy

Agreed! I’m rarely tempted by their add ons but these are fun.

Do they have any subscribers left for the July box?? I do like the tote bag though!

I’m betting a lot of folks are staying for July because that’s the last month we’ll get normal points. Then there will be another wave of cancels.

I haven’t decided if I’m staying or going yet. I typically like my box at least $10 worth – I don’t have the problems with profile matching some do, and I haven’t been a subscriber long enough to feel like I’m getting a lot of repeats – but I don’t NEED more stuff 🙂

Liz and everyone, this isn’t about the add-ons but I wanted everyone to know that Katia, the Birchbox CEO, released a video on their Facebook page. I’m at work and can’t access the video, but the first few comments about it are from customers pledging their loyalty and singing their praises. Blech!

Sara

Makes me gag, after all the articles where she doesn’t care about the box subscribers, the people who launched them. Then all the comments from “loyal” subscribers, I can’t roll my eyes hard enough. I’d be ok with staying with birchbox, without the points, if they were like Ipsy. And I actually got full size items instead of foil packets, one time use samples or products not even designed for my hair or skin type. But they don’t, it’s tiny, tiny samples, I’m forever getting the wrong hair type samples or free perfume samples which I hate. And I loved Birchbox and I’ve been with them for 5 years, I haven’t gotten a coupon code to work for me in over a year, there is nothing for loyalty, no anniversary codes or anything anymore.

Keri

Right! I’m so upset. I’ll definitely be spending my money elsewhere.
