I’m so frustrated. I ordered a GlossyBox sub because of the offers described on this page. If you sign up via their mobile site – you CANNOT enter a promo code. There’s no field to enter the code at all. I thought I’d have the opportunity to enter the code on the second page, so I clicked “submit”. So disappointed. Not everyone goes online with a PC or MAC – some simply use their smartphones. Just a heads up for anyone else using mobile.

you could Cancel it, Contact customer service to do a “hard cancel” then go to there full sight on your smartphones browser and sign up again using the code.

I had signed up and the very next day they had a promo code for a free box with sign up and so that’s what i did, they were VERY helpful

Thank you for the suggestion! It’s definitely worth a try – I’ve contacted CS and will have to wait for their reply.

It concerns me if I or others will actually get this item in our box. I say this because a few months ago it was posted that all would get the Norell perfume. I did not get it. I got a cheap nail polish instead. I was very disappointed because I really wanted to be able to try the Norell perfume. It seems that the really great items go to beauty bloggers, etc., not every day people.

So sorry Stacy. I received the Norell perfume as well and I am not a beauty blogger. I have had the sub to Glossybox for a few years now and have always received what was told to be in the box. I wonder if it has to do with what type of sub you have or don’t have and when you initially signed up for the box….

Sorry I disagree that only bloggers get the nicer items. I received the Norell perfume and the wet Mango shampoo in the Allure box and not a blogger.

I got this exact box for June…..

Maybe they are oversupplied. I signed up July 1 and they sent me the June box. And have also charged me for another box in July.

The top pic is a pic of the June box, not the July box.

I too have the gilt city deal after I swore I’d never sub to GB again, I broke down since it was cheaper than Birchbox. I would never sub to this box again, I think I’ve swapped nearly every item I’ve received. Last months box was a giant disappointment I’m still mad about. All I wanted was the vichey spray and nail spray, got neither of them. It was all I could do to not throw the box right in the trash. $12 is still too much for this box and I feel bad for anyone paying full price for it!

Those were the 2 items I had looked forward to as well, but of course, I got neither. Instead…hairspray….yawn

Yep. Yep. Yep. Waste of money!

I saw a big Vichy display at Walgreens, of all places, the other day. It might be worth checking to see if they have that product. Probably not too spendy at a drugstore.

I got in on an annual sub deal via Gilt around the holidays, I figured it was slightly cheaper than ipsy, so why not… but I’ve been pretty disappointed by every box I’ve had. Even tho ipsy keeps sending me blush/bronzer I said I never use, I still have more items I’ll use via ipsy than Glossybox. Won’t be resubbing again once this ends.

Yeah, I have already canceled, if you get an annual sub, they are one you have to wait out the full year…. Got the Whole Tony Awards box up on swap….
Just waiting to end it..

I subscribed to my first Glossybox earlier this month. I got June’s box with a free bonus month box (which ended up being February 2016–I liked it a lot!). How does everyone go about scoring the best deals on Glossybox subscriptions? Do you cancel and then immediately rejoin with a code? The 3-months at $14.99/each sounds enticing to me but I’m not sure how to get the best bang for my buck since I’m not considered a new subscriber now.

Eh. I think I will be sticking with Boxycharm! They seem to have the better products so far!

MzBev

Agreed! I bought a few Glossyboxes when they had a sale for $15 each. I wanted to try their box, since I already have Boxycharm. I was not impressed and would never pay Glossy $21 for a month. The deals for $8.75 would be worth it, but I wouldn’t even do that for fear of dealing with their horrible CS. Boxy is so much better.

I am liking this spoiler. I love shadow sticks. Already better than anything I got in last months box.

That photo is misleading, though. Turns out subscribers only get a subset of the pictured items with variations. I was looking forward to several of these “teased” and photographed items, only to receive none of them. Not a single one. Of the items pictured, I got pink lip gloss (again), mascara (again), tan towels (again) and canned water (again). I can’t wait until my pre-paid is over. This box just upsets me every time it arrives as I am reminded that I paid full price for this box. Yep, I have a full-price sub, no special deals, and I still get pink lip gloss, mascara and tan towels. Most subscribers I’ve talked to are of the opinion that most of them got GB on a “deal” and are paying maybe a third of what I am per box, so GB is catering to the lowest common price point and those of us who paid $21 per box, well, just too bad, so sad. Worst. Sub. Decision. Ever. Yes, I’m bitter. I could have spent that money on something a lot nicer. I feel completely taken.

Hey I feel for you … I feel gypped too and I got the $14.99 price for three months. Problem is I saw the reviews of the June box and signed up July 1 …so what did I get in the mail today? THE JUNE BOX. The “dark oil” sample is smaller than samples I’ve been given at a salon or dept. store. And I’m paying for these? The lip gloss they say is worth $18 is sticky on my lips — cheap product or just old product they are clearing out of the warehouse? Yes, anyone who is considering Glossybox, don’t! I sent them an email question about my subscription — because I got an email that implied I had received the June box — and they’ve yet to answer me days later. So they seem uninterested in their customers on every level. I guess they are limping along as a business by snagging us with their discounts.

I pay $8.75/month and have gotten a deal from them for several years (either directly from GlossyBox, a MSA deal, or Gilt City). I’m not sure why some choose to pay full price (especially a pre-paid vs month-to-month if it’s full price) because it seems there is a deal all the time (well, at least 3 or so times/year).

Anyway – are you talking about last month’s red “Tony” box pictured above? I got everything in the picture except the Vichy water and the little white-capped bottle. I got the Sebastian spray, face mask set, pink LA Splash gloss, the mascara shown, 2 Tan Towels (I think), and purple Sinful Colors polish. You said you received none of the items pictured but then say you got the lipgloss, tan towels, Vichy water, and mascara – that’s 4 out of the 7 shown.

I’ve known for 3 years to wait for deals because of the reviews (mainly on MSA but also from others). I ALWAYS purchase the majority of my pre-paid subs during Black Friday – Dec 31. Try that approach next time for any subs you are interested in. If you want something and it’s not “on sale” at the moment then just do month-to-month until it is.

Reply ButtonReply

Patty

I think that deal was a super rare thing, so I don’t think people are choosing to pay full price. Waiting until black friday won’t work if you want a box now,

I don’t think glossybox is worth the full price, and will stay with boxycharm’s system that gets that 21 dollars is a lot for a box of samples and its nice to be able to opt out whenever. I got the free box deal, so I feel I got my money’s worth, but I won’t be staying, Got my free box today, which was pretty nice, but a few things I already have ( ps anyone that ordered with the Extra code it was the February? possibly March one that was themed ” Love is in the air” and was pretty nice for a free box)

Nyx

No, I said I received none of the spoilers I was looking forward to. I was really hoping for the nail spray. I don’t think it’s pictured here but was one of the more-anticipated spoilers and I don’t know anyone who got it. Didn’t get it and also no pore pack duo, no nail polish, no Lue. Really bad box.

Maureen

I’m psyched!!! I love my eyeko products and I love shadow sticks, so hopefully together it’ll be AWESOME!

Reply ButtonReply

JillA

I like them because they are easy to carry in your bag without needing a brush for touch-ups and you can use it as a liner in a pinch. I love having multi-use products because it saves time and space.

Reply ButtonReply

Ragan

I will use the Eyeko stick, but I never have to do makeup touch-ups? Even with oily eyelids. I just use primer and I am good for the whole work day. If I was having to do a lot of touch-ups with anything other than lipstick, I would probably toss it.

Em

I cancelled my subscription, although I’m open to re-subscribing if I see a good spoiler.

This is not it. It feels like Glossy is sending the same brands OR no-name overpriced brands. Not worth it.

Their last good box was february i think? The one with glamglow, porefessional, bio republic and the luxie brush. It was a really strong box. Since then it’s been crap upon crap.

Reply ButtonReply

Joy

Agreed. I’ve been getting the box since January and February was by far the best and June by far the worst. I have 6 months of my pre-paid left and it would take every one of those boxes to be super solid for me to even begin considering re-subscribing when Allure consistently does a better box for $6 less a month.
