Five Four Club is a monthly men’s clothing subscription service. You take a brief survey when you sign up (sizes and style preferences), and then each month they send you on average 2-3 new clothing pieces or accessories. For reference, my style profile is “T-Shirt and jeans.”

I've been subscribing March 2013 and in general, I'm very happy with the quality of the clothing and the value - especially the t-shirts. (We’ve found the sizing to be similar to American Eagle’s sizing if that helps!)

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Five Four Club Subscription Review + Coupon June 2016 - shirt

Alder Olive Button Down

This was the biggest miss for me this month. This plaid, button down, short sleeve shirt had the worst possible shoulders for my body. If I raised my arm, the fabric would bunch up and hit me in the face. I liked the design, but I don't really wear short sleeve button ups, and these just do not work with broad shoulders.

Dogwood Black Short - 9" Classic

I also got a new pair of summer shorts. Liz tells me that the fabric is "seersucker". What I know is that it's simply not my style at all. They are a thin material as well, which was nice for breathability. Overall, I'd wear these if there was nothing left to wear - but I wouldn't be comfortable at all in them.

Five Four Club Subscription Review + Coupon June 2016 - belt

Acer Navy Belt

This was the only item that I really enjoyed this month. Liz tends to make fun of me because I have, basically, one belt. It's tried and true - and I like it! So, it never hurts to get a new belt to try (after all my favorite belt came from a subscription box!) and this a belt that I'm keeping around.

Verdict: This was the first month in a long while where I have felt disappointed with the selections. But, I've gone in a rated the shipment (which you can do from your Dashboard, just click "Collection"), so I hope that Five Four Club course corrects for my next shipment!

I love this package. I unsubscribe from them a few months ago because all I would get is jackets and sweaters despite living in Florida. Now finally they send out a package that’s not only an entire outfit but one that is season appropriate for my location. I’d sign up again but with me luck the next package will be a coat or something.

Why did my phone auto correct most of that to make me sound like a disgruntled pirate?!

I love those shorts! My bf needs some exactly like that so if they’re his size I’d totally buy them from you!

Don’t do it! This company is a scam! I cancelled my account with them months ago, and they have continued to charge my card. The quality of the clothing is ridiculous, and I have had multiple garments literally FALL APART when I picked them up. There is NO customer service, and if you call for a refund you will be told you were informed, and there is nothing they can do.

They even deleted their Yelp page due to a 1 star rating, and an overwhelming influx of complaints.

wish my box would get here, for some reason Five Four has been two weeks later than usual the last couple of months. I look forward to the summer boxes, I’m a shorts and button shirt wearer at work and play.

I actually liked this months box. I got the same pieces you got, just different colors. The belt & the shirt were big wins for me. I love how the belt has that stretchable give to it. I live in LA where Five Four Club is based, & like clockwork, you can always tell when a new shipment has dropped. It’s practically the same outfit on every guy in Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
