Here’s a look inside. Pretty packaging (and lots of cornstarch peanuts, so I had to keep this away from my cats – they eat cornstarch peanuts…).

Lining up for a taste of the delicious cornstarch peanuts…

The box is crafted of tree-free paper by workers at a small company in Rajasthan, India. The process is child-labor-free and helps support artisans whose families have been making paper for generations!

Super shiny items don’t mix well with my camera. Sorry about the photo quality…

Rachel’s Plan Bee Original Bee Cream (0.5 oz) – Value $4

This is a thick-ish product that is marketed as being good for hands or cuticles. I tried it on my heels (under some gel heel socks so I didn’t get it everywhere) and it was nicely moisturizing. I think this is also a product I would reach for, for my elbows in winter (they get really dry). This contains beeswax so is not vegan.

Gressa’s Lumiere in Elise (0.16 oz) – Value $28

I am assuming this is full size but I don’t really know for sure as the Gressa site isn’t clear on the amount of product in the full sized container. This can be used as an eye, lip, or cheek tint. For me, it is a type of product I prefer to use as cheek color. This is vegan and contains a lot of plant extracts (including broccoli extract!) that make it function both as makeup and skincare. I am still experimenting with the best way to apply it so I don’t look like a clown (I used way too much at first…) but I am thinking the way it will work best is actually to put it UNDER my foundation. That way I will also get the maximum skincare benefits.

Henne Organics Rose Diamonds Lip Exfoliator (0.35 fl oz) – Value $24

So a few weeks ago, I ran out of lip scrub. I was ordering from Tarte so I put one in my cart. Then I got three full size ones in subscription boxes. I’m sure that is a familiar story to a lot of you. But, this is probably the most luxurious one I have. You apply this to damp lips and then rinse off with water, which is a little different from how I usually use lip scrubs, but it’s been effective so I can’t complain. (My lips need a lot of TLC because I have been doing quite a bit of experimenting with lip colors lately, and some of them have been drying.)

Rachel’s Plan Bee Original Body Polish (7 oz) – Value $20

I love scrubs and I go through them VERY quickly, so this is most welcome. It smells really good (this one is a mix of citrus and vanilla) and it exfoliates with Moroccan lava clay which definitely agrees with my skin. Please note that this includes beeswax so it is not a vegan product.

boxwallabeauty-june-2016-swatch

Here is a swatch of the Gressa pigment. I didn’t realize until well after I took the rest of the photos that this was a pigmented product, so I took this photo late at night under poor lighting conditions. Also, I dispensed way too much – a little goes a long way, especially with my complexion.

Verdict: I calculated a value of $76 for the June 2015 Boxwalla Beauty subscription box. All the brands were new to me and that is higher than the cost of the box by a fair amount considering the box is full of natural, organic, and indie brands. Further, all the items were useful to me and I really like getting a big container of body scrub instead of those tiny samples you can use on like one arm only.

I’m sure the Gressa product is full-sized since, like you mentioned, a little will go a very long way. For some reason, I thought it was a serum so I put it with all of my serum samples until I read on another blog what this actually was (they thought it was a serum too at first until they tried to use it, then lo ‘and behold a reddish pigment comes out. 😀 ). I would have eventually figured it out once I got around to reading the Boxwalla card though (all of the cards I get in beauty boxes are my bedtime reading, which I tend to accumulate for a few days then eventually get around to reading. 🙂 ).

I ordered this after reading a review a couple days ago; the website had a few boxes for one time order available. 🙂 I was specifically looking for a good lip scrub, and I too love body scrubs and use them all the time. The bee balm I’m sure will be used. The only item I’m not sure about is the pink serum. I blush easily so do not use blush products very often. I’d probably use it as a lip tint, and layer with one of my clear/natural tint glosses. Or I may try to swap it on the swaps for one of my followed items.
