BEAUTY DNA JUNE 2016 - INFO 2

I love how thoroughly they break down the details of the product they picked and also why they chose it, based off of your profile and preferences.

I’m always impressed with how thoroughly they match products, and how many details they take into consideration. For example, they even note that this has a citrus scent, which I like, but has no rose or spice scent, which I have marked as dislikes.

SimySkin Anti Aging Gel Cleanser – value: $45

This cleanser sounds like it’s a great match for me! It’s a gel cleanser made with 10 different essential oils plus herbs, vitamins, antioxidants, and lots of good things for your skin. It’s good for anti-aging as well as helping with blemishes/breakouts! I really like the formula. It’s great for hydrating your skin plus it takes off makeup, too.  It feels really good on my skin when I use it and my skin doesn’t feel dry or tight after washing it off.

Here’s a snapshot of the box itself. When I worked at Sephora, I developed a love of reading skin care labels! I know it sounds weird, but I learned so much about the ingredients and what each ingredient does that I love reading about the products.

Verdict: I’m really happy with this Beauty DNA box! I really love all the ways they are specific about why they picked this item for me – right down to the fragrance notes. It seems like I’m excited about every product they send me each month, so I’m enjoying my subscription. The value is really nice, too! A $66 product for $25 is great!

Hmmm, I think I’m going to skip this one. I love Beauty subs but sounds like lots of people are having some issues…

I’ve had several subscriptions to beautyDNA and I had decided not to renew. The matches were great at first but then recently they were complete misses and they definitely shorted me two boxes. CS is always nice but Istill want getting my missing boxes. Today, two it there months later I received a box with GM Collin GF Advanced Repair serum with an RV of $150. I can’t complain but it seems kind of strange, right? I looked up the brand and supposedly it can only be purchased through spas? I just have so many unused products floating around right now but I’m addicted to skincare items. I just keep looking for something that’s going to work!

I’m letting my sub run out and not re subbing. If you prefer natural products, this isn’t a box for you. They don’t have much inventory when it comes to natural products. Most months I end up swapping my item because I don’t feel comfortable with ingredients. The other problem I’ve had is missing boxes. As in, they don’t send one! I’ve always had to contact them and then they send one. This makes me uncomfortable. One thing I do like is how nice they seem through email… Although they don’t always respond. 🙂

Thanks! I was just wondering if they can specifically taylor to Natural and/or Cruelty-free prodcuts if that’s what I want. I think I’ll skip.

You are able to specify those preferences, but… That doesn’t mean that’s what they are able to give you. ? If they have it they say they send it, but if not… You get what you get. ?

I am getting my first box later this week. It has an $85 value. I was excited at first but one of the main ingredients was on my list of ingredients I stated I do not want. I realize they have a disclaimer stating they still may send you an item with one of these ingredients but I only selected three ingredients I did not want. I did not realize it was so hard to find a match for me. I am debating trying the product now and hope they find a better match next month.

I would shoot them an email when your item arrives, or give them a call. For your first order I would think there would be a plethora of items they could have sent that would adhere to your preferences. After a year of subbing I could see them having to send something like that but for your first order?

I just subbed last month for the first time and wasn’t overly impressed with my item. It had a listed RV of $88 but is available on amazon for half that. I’m giving it one more shot this month to see but I expect I may cancel.

I’ve been an on and off subscriber for the last 2 years and loved it because I always got expensive skincare products. Since most recently resubbing my values aren’t even close to what they were just 6 months ago. My profile never changed but the values and brands took a nosedive recently. I’m averaging a value of only $35-$40/month. I tried to eliminate lower value categories like cleansers, hair care and self tanning but I still manage to get products on the cheapest end of the spectrum regardless. I even got a duplicate item last month. After some unnecessary back and forth communication they made it right but I had to prove I had gotten it before even though my account clearly showed I had received it in Dec. Lucky for me that I do online product reviews and photograph every sub box so I had a pic that showed both the product and card with my name, month, year and product name. It was my first repeat and that’s totally fine. I just didn’t care for the response once it happened. I think I’ll give it one more month but if I get another $40 product I’m cancelling again.

Meant Liz enjoyed….

I tried for first month last month. Will give six months and I guess it comes as same as last month which was later in month for me. I got a Christie Brinkley product valued at $79 but it honestly did nothing for any eye wrinkle or nasolabial wrinkle. Passed it on to younger skin
