Balloon and Bird

Balloon Outside

Monster Balloon – $8.00

This balloon was really big and my kids had a lot of fun playing with it in the yard. I guess I didn’t blow it up to full capacity because ours wasn’t 3 feet but I was tired of huffing and puffing!

Bird

Balancing Bird – $4

This bird was really cool! It’s a great way to demonstrate the center of mass. My son balanced it on his nose, finer and forehead and thought it was amazing that it didn’t fall over. Here you can see it balancing on the small plastic cone provided in the package.

Natural Disasters

Disasters 2nd view

An Assortment of Natural Disasters – $18

This kit is pretty cool. It contains instant snow powder, a volcano making kit with paint and directions and a vortex tube to simulate a tornado in soda bottles. This kit seems geared for older boys (my son is 6 this fall) so we will be passing this along to a friend. From the size of the box I can tell a lot of what is needed for these projects isn’t included and will need to be gathered together.

Verdict:  I think this is a fun box for kids with a nice science twist. My son enjoyed both the balloon and bird. The value of the toys met the cost of the box, but I’d like to see a little more value in the upcoming boxes.
