The box came with an information card detailing the items for May. The theme was “May flowers.”
Pink Peony Pure Mineral Eyeshadow – Value $12
Creeping Violet Pure Mineral Eyeshadow – Value $12
Cranberry Rose Pure Mineral Eyeshadow – Value $12
Most of the eyeshadow colors you get in the Orglamix box are exclusive so you can’t find them on the Orglamix site. I am just using the values from other eyeshadows in the shop. All of these have the same wonderful formula as the rest of the Orglamix shadows. The colors are a bit bold for me to use all together but they will work individually as accent colors with a mostly neutral background.
Here are swatches of the eyeshadows.
Aromatherapy Diffuser Necklace – Value $32
This wasn’t on the Orglamix site so I am taking their value from the information card. I tend to think of Orglamix for eyeshadows and sometimes forget that they also sell a lot of oil-based perfumes and essential oils. So this is a great accessory – it has a felt pad inside that you put a bit of oil on and then the cutout details allow the scent of the oil to diffuse throughout the day.
Peace + Calm Essential Oil – Value $6
Again, I’m taking the value from the information card. This has a calming floral aroma and would be good for putting in the diffuser necklace at high stress times or in an ultrasonic humidifier diffuser next to your bed.
Fresh Rose Butter Balm – Value $18
This is moisturizing and a little different from other balms, because it has a more fluid consistency. It is suggested for lips, cuticles, or heels. I put some on under some gel heel socks last night (the gel pads help keep the balm from soaking into your socks) and it did make my feet soft. I think this will be useful between foot peels. I guess this is a new product because I can’t find it on the Orglamix site.
Glycolic Rose Peel + Mask (2 oz) – Value $62
Yet another item exclusive to the box. This is a high glycolic acid peel (10%) that is not meant for sensitive skin. And you need to be careful to only leave it on for 3 minutes. They say it will tingle and it does. Luckily my skin is used to glycolic acid, and I think I will use this weekly. It is too soon to see any effects, though.
Verdict: I calculated a value of $154 for the May Orglamix subscription box. I did have to rely on values they provided on the information card for all the items, so take that value with a grain of salt. For example, I am sure you could find a similar aromatherapy diffuser necklace on Ali Express for quite a bit cheaper. On the other hand, I appreciate that there were a lot of items in the box that are exclusive to the subscription, the eyeshadow colors fit the theme well (as did the other items), and I certainly think the value was much greater than the $29 price of the subscription.
