mostess-may-booklet

I think this is the most luxe packaging I have ever seen in a subscription box! Even the card inserts are made of some kind of fancy textured cardstock. This is Mostess’ second mailing. The price for this box was $120, and there are still some available.

The inside of the booklet has information on the items included in this mailing, as well as ideas for their use.

mostess-may-tips

This little card was included, with tips on how to be an exceptional hostess. In addition to upping my hostess game, reading the card is also making me seriously hungry.

These cards were also included this month with recipes for making drinks using one of the items from this month’s package. I like that they included one non-alcoholic recipe. That was thoughtful, and who knows, there might be people on this planet who don’t enjoy alcoholic cocktails. One of the cards contains Mostess’ social media information.

Tocca Stella Italian Blood Orange Candelina – Value $20

Tocca Stella Italian Blood Orange Liquid Hand Soap – Value $18

Is there anyone who doesn’t love the smell of blood oranges? Perhaps, but I am not among them. These both smell incredible. It may seem strange, but one thing my guests always seem to comment on is the hand soap. Our home is fairly modest, but I always buy high quality hand soaps for guests. It’s ten seconds of unexpected pleasure, and guests always love it! I know they will be pleased with this fragrance.

Cotton Cloud Co. Turkish Hand Towels – Value $16

Like many of you, I love Turkish towels, and these are a nice light neutral gray color for spring. They are also made from 100% organic Turkish cotton! They’re the perfect size for the kitchen or bathroom, but the booklet Mostess included also suggests using them as a mini table runner, or wrapping around a pitcher to keep the condensation off. Both of those are fantastic ideas!

Rosanna Farmhouse Pantry Cellars & Spoons – Value $32

Oh my gosh, these are so beautiful! I love that they’re all slightly different but still uniform. These are perfect for serving condiments or tiny items like nuts and seeds.

Peach Ginger Jam by Bonnie’s Jams – Value $10

This jam smells so good! Bonnie’s website recommends serving this as a condiment to duck or cheese. I may sound like a yokel, but I don’t think I’ve ever tried jam on cheese before. I’m looking forward to it now!

Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. Elderflower Tonic – Value $16

This is the magic ingredient to the recipes shown above. I love floral cocktails! I have also really enjoyed everything I’ve ever tried from Jack Rudy Cocktail Co. before, so I’m sure this will be amazing as well!

Mostess Signature Marble Cheese Boards – Value $30?

These cheese boards were made for Mostess in a partnership with Kalalou, so while I don’t have an exact value, I am making an estimate based on one of Kalalou’s similar products. These cheese boards are breathtaking! I absolutely love them! I have a dark grey rectangular marble cheese board that will look fabulous with these.

Verdict: I am once again blown away by Mostess! I think this box is extremely well curated around the spring table. Everything in the box feels very luxe and special, and it’s all something I can’t wait to share with guests. The value of everything totals about $142, so I am happy with that. More than anything, I really feel like the things Mostess sends in their bi-monthly packages actually improve my ability to be an amazing hostess. I love that!

It looks like a really nice box, but not $120 nice to me.

Justme

Wow great curation! And then I saw the price…$120 for only $142 value? Nah.

Cosmogirl

Well the cost of shipping is like $20 on a box that weighs 13 pounds so when you take that into account + the fact that you don’t have to run around looking for the perfect mix of items for your events, I’d say it’s well worth it! I bought one for my mom and mother in law for Mother’s day and they loved it. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for the summer box.

Cindy

My post disappeared! Could you tell me the expiration dates on the food items? I was thinking of gifting this but the timing is several months out. Thanks!

Cindy

Oh my goodness! Now my original post appeared. How odd…. anyway, would appreciate the dates if possible.

Josie

How big are the marble rounds? They look small–but maybe still worth it.

Anna

Hi Josie! Um, I think 6″ and 8″? Hope this helps!

Jessica

Those cellars and spoons are beautiful!

Haley Faye

A steakhouse I used to work at had an Elder flower and Pear cocktail. They served it in a martini glass. It was so good! Just an idea for the elder flower tonic! =]

Anna

Yum, that sounds delicious! How did they get the pear flavor? Thanks Haley!

Haley Faye

I think it was pear juice? Or syrup, maybe? Sorry, I didn’t bartend there. 🙂 I’m sure you could google or play around with it!
