Wrapped Books

The books were individually wrapped and it felt like unwrapping a special gift. I think this is a nice touch, especially for a kid’s box!

Mama's Day

Mama's Day Open

Mama’s Day with Little Gray by Aimee Reid - $15.00 on Amazon (retail price $16.99)

My daughter loves elephants so right away I knew this book would make her happy and it did. It’s a heartwarming story about a baby elephant asking what would happen if he grows up and his mama grows down. This is a sweet tale about a mama reassuring her son that she’ll always love her son and be there for him no matter what happens.

Boss Baby

Boss Baby Open

The Boss Baby by Marla Frazee - $14.49 on Amazon (retail price $17.99)

This book about a very demanding baby (dressed in a suit and tie no less) cracks me up! I think it’s aimed more at adults, than at young kids, but would certainly make a great baby shower gift. Plus Marla Frazee is one of my favorite illustrators so nothing she does could disappoint me.

Duck and Goose

Duck and Goose signed

Duck and Goose open

Duck and Goose Go to the Beach by Tad Hills - $11.24 on Amazon (retail price $17.99)

Tad Hills came to my school a few years ago for an author visit and was a fabulous presenter! I’m such a huge fan of his work.  My students and my kids all love his Duck and Goose books and his Rocket the Dog books. I was so thrilled when I saw that this book was autographed by Tad Hills! Duck and Goose are two friends that have different personalities but always find fun adventures.

Verdict:  I can’t imagine being happier with a book subscription box than I was with this one. Three wonderful hardcover books (one autographed!) and the value was over $40 using Amazon’s current prices. As a librarian we have a book-filled home, but we are always looking for new authors to discover and new titles to read.

What do you think of this month’s Lil' Bear Book Club? Would your children love unwrapping new books each month?

How long has this box been available? I’m going to be a Grandma again for the 2nd time in June! My 1st Grandaughter will be 1 yr in June & thought this would be a great sub for her.

I’m just careful about purchasing a box sub when it’s brand new. I’ve purchased a couple new-ish boxes & they were cancelled before I even recieved my 1st box! It’s upsetting bcuz these were gift subs & they were perfect for the person I was buying for but they never got it & I was out a gift or they had to receive a different gift late…one that they would have liked, but wud have l<3ved the sub box much better!?

How long has this been available? I can't find any reviews (other than this one-Jessica's from MSA).
Thanks!☺

I ordered the April box as my first one, and I got it with no problems. It was very easy to cancel too. I’m pregnant and wanted some board books for my baby, and they did send board books, but I felt they were a little older than what I was looking for. But the value was definitely there.
