The Disney Park Pack – Pin Trading Edition is a new monthly subscription box that Disney introduced within the last year. This subscription is only available online. Each monthly pack contains three Disney Pins including a Limited Edition Pin exclusive to the subscription box, as well as two Open Edition Pins before they are available in the theme parks. The Limited Edition pin currently has four variants of a similar design or theme and each of the variants has an edition size of 500.

The box itself is really nicely done. Disney always does a great job with this in their subscription boxes.

Bottom of the box.

My kids started collecting Disney pins a few years ago during visits to Disneyland so we were excited to see what would be featured this month. Disney does not release spoilers for this box.

Looks awesome! Let’s dig in.

Mickey Mouse! Nothing says Disney like Mickey.

Here is the back of the pin card. GREEN means that this pin will eventually sell in the theme parks for $6.95. Notice the Mickey icon pin back.

We also have another Mickey, this time with an Americana theme going on. I know it is only just now May, but is anyone else ready for summer? This is a great pin. Here is a little trivia for you: the first Mickey short was called Plane Crazy in 1928. Steamboat Willie, which is more popular and also from that same year, is the 3rd Mickey short.

Here is the back of the pin card. SILVER means that this pin will eventually sell in the theme parks for $8.95.

Here is a closer view of our old pal. Hopefully you can see the silver coloring outlining the details on the pin. The pins in this subscription box are made of enameled cloisonné.

Disney has specified on its website that this is the Pin Trading Edition of the Park Pack. The Disney lover and subscription box addict in me is crossing my fingers for more editions very soon!

disney_park_pack_tangled1

Rapunzel from Tangled is this month’s Limited Edition Pin created exclusively for the subscription box. I was super excited to see this pin! Tangled is my favorite Disney movie, probably of all time. If you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favor and watch it. It is so well done at every level.

Here is the back of the custom backer card. I am not sure why there is a UPC sticker on the back. Maybe so Disney can track this? There is no price associated with the pin because it will not be offered for sale.

disney_park_pack_tangled3

Here is the back of the pin itself noting the Limited Edition of 500. The little bumps you see on the back of the pin are stabilizers so the pin hangs correctly.

Closer views of the pin itself. Notice how the suns are raised and golden referencing the movie. Also, Rapunzel’s chameleon sidekick, Pascal, is blending in with her hair. Love the details here!

disney_park_pack_tangled6

This is a heavy-duty pin. Notice the double layers.

One thing that is pretty fun about pin collecting and trading is that it is something that can be enjoyed by all ages. My whole family loves all the pins this month, but my personal favorite is definitely Rapunzel.

Value: One of these pins will sell for $6.95 and one for $8.95 in the theme parks eventually. The third pin is a limited edition and not available for sale outside of the subscription box so the price is unknown. This subscription box sells for $39.95, including shipping, so this may not be the box for everyone. However, if you love Disney and/or are a pin collector, I would say this could be a great box for you! Disney easily sells out of this subscription box every month.

disney_park_pack_side

A last look from the side. Notice how the box slants to make viewing the collection easier. Disney thinks of everything.

This subscription box is currently sold out, but make sure to sign up for News Alerts at the bottom of this post to get an email when they are available again!

Verdict: We love the Disney Park Pack at our house and can’t wait to see next month!

What do you think of this box? Do you love Disney as much as we do?
