Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld - Retail Value $28 (On Amazon for $15.60)

Book Summary from Amazon:

This version of the Bennet family—and Mr. Darcy—is one that you have and haven’t met before: Liz is a magazine writer in her late thirties who, like her yoga instructor older sister, Jane, lives in New York City. When their father has a health scare, they return to their childhood home in Cincinnati to help—and discover that the sprawling Tudor they grew up in is crumbling and the family is in disarray.

Youngest sisters Kitty and Lydia are too busy with their CrossFit workouts and Paleo diets to get jobs. Mary, the middle sister, is earning her third online master’s degree and barely leaves her room, except for those mysterious Tuesday-night outings she won’t discuss. And Mrs. Bennet has one thing on her mind: how to marry off her daughters, especially as Jane’s fortieth birthday fast approaches.

Enter Chip Bingley, a handsome new-in-town doctor who recently appeared on the juggernaut reality TV dating show Eligible. At a Fourth of July barbecue, Chip takes an immediate interest in Jane, but Chip’s friend neurosurgeon Fitzwilliam Darcy reveals himself to Liz to be much less charming. . . .

And yet, first impressions can be deceiving.

I feel like Cozy Reader Club does a great job of selecting one of the most popular releases each month - and May is no exception! I'm very excited to read this Pride and Prejudice retelling, and I have a few friends who I will be lending this book to when I'm done!

Sarah Welch Pottery Stoneware Travel Mug - Value $34

This is the most amazing travel mug I've ever seen! When I first unwrapped it, I was thinking, "Is this a vase?" No, it's just the most beautiful coffee mug ever! (Though, I'm sure it could double as a vase!)

It's glazed, and dishwasher and microwave safe!

Herkimer Coffee - Value $9

I'm a tea drinker, but my husband Eric is a coffee addict, so he immediately opened this bag to smell it! He's already excited to make a pot of Herkimer coffee!

YarnLovin Mug Cozy - Value $10.95

Cute! I'm not sure if this goes with the mug included, but here it is on just to show what it looks like:

Cocomels in Sea Salt - Value $5

Cocomels!! If you avoid dairy but LOVE caramel, I can't recommend Cocomels enough! Or if you have no dietary restrictions but just love delicious candy, these work too! 🙂

Verdict: This box has a value of about $75 (that's with the discounted Amazon sale price of the box). I think that's an OK value if you sign up with the $5 off for life coupon ($60 a month). Cozy Reader Club is still on the high-end in terms of cost for a monthly book box, so it probably isn't for everyone, but I think they do an excellent job delivering on their promise of what you can expect in a box, and everything always feels special! This box is definitely about the experience!

I want to get in on this box, box, if only the price were a bit better and there was at least 2 choices.
So far, for each box, I had already selected the same book in the botm before the cozy spoiler was out. If the spoiler was earlier, it would be helpful

I don’t remember for April, but I know for May the book spoiler came out before BOTM closed their selection period. I couldn’t decide between Eligible and another for BOTM and seeing CRC’s selection made it an easy decision 🙂 Maybe they’ll see people commenting on it and make sure they change that. It really is my favorite sub box, though. They send wonderful products and really put thought into their boxes.

thanks, I put my botm pick in early, so I don’t forget,
so when I saw this spoiler I likely assumed it was too late.
I have been watching this one, so maybe since I canceled all my beauty boxes for the summer (fear of tassels, sunless tanner, and beachy waves!)

This is my all time favorite sub box! When I opened and saw that travel mug, I was in love! You know you’re an adult when a mug excites you that much. It’s absolutely stunning, though. I actually almost don’t want to use it for fear of breaking it! But I will, just to admire it all day. My obsession could also be much worse. ; )
I had also never had Cocomels and I am now addicted. I could have very easily eaten them in one sitting, I had to slap my hand to stop myself.
I also get BOTM and I couldn’t decide between this book and another for that sub, so this made it that much easier and I was able to get both. Win win for me!
I know this box is expensive, but I cut out a few things just so I could get it and it’s well worth it!

I love the travel mug but like someone else said I get BOTM and already had the book so kinda glad I didn’t subscribe to this one.

This seems like such a cool box. I Love that mug! But it’s too expensive for me and I’ve already read Eligible. I didn’t really like it. It dragged on in the middle and I finally just skipped to the end.

Like this box except for the fact that both this month and last were BOTM picks. I certainly do not need 2 of the same books. The travel mug really is pretty.

This box is on my “when I win the lottery” list. I drool over it every month but am way too much of a cheapskate to indulge!

Haha same here!

Agree, it’s a gorgeous mug and I don’t even drink coffee or hot tea. lol I kind of want it for the mug, but don’t want to pay $70 for the box.

All the pottery pieces on the Etsy site are gorgeous! I want a shaving dish, not for my bf, but just for me. It’s the most interesting looking thing I’ve ever seen lol.
