This is the information card that was included, detailing the package's contents. I can't tell from the card if this month's theme is "The Fan Empire Member" (us), or just "Member." Anyone?

I would be remiss in failing to mention that this is the March package, but I just received it this week. This has happened now twice in a row, so I'm beginning to think this is just one of those boxes you have to count on not receiving until the beginning of the next month. It's not a problem for me, but I know some people don't like that.

Harry Potter Journal - Value $9?

Most of the items in The Fan Empire are either custom made for subscribers, or are impossible to find for sale elsewhere online! The retail values I have listed are just guesses on my part. The folks at The Fan Empire seem to be huge fans of Harry Potter! My younger son (age 8) grabbed this up right away. He's a burgeoning fan!

Sorcerer's Stone Necklace - Value $8?

I don't know much about The Sorcerer's Stone, but my niece will love this necklace.

Wizard Magnet - Value $1?

The kids liked this magnet, and promptly stuck it right on the fridge.

Merlin Poster - Value $2.50?

Hooray! It's Merlin! My sons don't know much about him yet, but I'm betting now that they have this poster, they will find out.

Once Upon a Time Necklace - Value $12?

This necklace is really Cool! It's very pretty and I like the pendant a lot.

VerdictThe Fan Empire is a really fun subscription! I am completely guessing on most of these values, but I still know the values MUST far outweigh the $18.45 subscription cost. I liked this month's package, but I don't feel like it was very tightly curated, and I'm still confused about what the theme is. In any case, I'm excited to see what next month's theme will be!

Am I the only OUAT fan a bit annoyed by the necklace label? You know, because it was call “The Dark Curse” not “The Evil Queen’s Curse” lol?

I feel like the theme is magic and the Fan Empire Member at the top of the info card is just like addressing the card to you. Like “To The Fan Empire Member” or “Dear The Fan Empire Member”. Otherwise the theme doesn’t really make sense or fit well.

Anna

That makes sense. Thanks Becky! 🙂

The Fan Empire’s March theme was Magic. I loved that they chose OUAT, Merlin, and Harry Potter to match that theme!

Anne

Yes, I think so too. To me it screamed “magic”!
