This is the information card that was included, detailing the contents of this month’s package.

Inner Shimmer Fairy Cards – Value $35

This is a deck of 42 Magical Affirmations featuring seven fairy guides. It also includes a tiny bottle of fairy dust to help activate wishes. This looks like it would be awesome and even empowering for little girls, but my sons would completely hate this. I had to set it aside for my niece.

Mending Malas Jade Bracelet – Value $19.50

Oh my gosh look how tiny this bracelet is! It’s just beautiful, too. It’s also pretty girly, but jade is such a healing stone, and so good for the heart chakra, I think I’m going to give it a whirl with the boys for use as a mala.

CorunumArtsy Chakra Activity Set (Custom)

This is something we can definitely use! These cards help teach the kids about the chakras, which is kind of a difficult and abstract subject to discuss. The card on the bottom is also designed to let the kids spread light to others, but I have a feeling the boys will tell me it’s a picture of a naked baby and not want to share it with anyone.

Mindfulness Box Sweet Dreams Bath Soak – Listed value $10

I seem to get lots of bath bombs, fizzies, and salts in subscription boxes, but I rarely have time to relax in the tub, so my two sons happen to love bath salts as they use mine all the time! This one has a good strong lavender scent which will help put them right to sleep after bath time.

Alternative Baking Company Chocolate Explosion Gluten-Free Cookie – Value $2.08

I’m sure this cookie is delicious, and I’m not opposed to my kids having a treat from time to time. BUT, this cookie has 20 grams of sugar in it! That’s five teaspoons! My point is that I don’t think this cookie will be promoting peace any time soon.

Verdict: I am a huge fan of Mindfulness Box for myself, but their kids’ box seems to miss the mark with us. I think the cookie was out of place, and 2-3 of the items included really seem to be more for girls than for boys. I think I was expecting a gender-neutral package since it doesn’t say it’s for “Girls” instead of “Kids.” I think this box would probably be great for little girls (except the cookie)! The value of the items included comes to about $67, which is wonderful for a $29 box! I would just really like to see more gender-neutral items in future boxes. Girls are raised to be more mindful anyway, I think little boys need more help in that area!

  1. I’m with you. The cookie seems out of place. I’ll keep an eye on this box for a few months though.
