LipMonthly-April 2016-welcome card back

Each Lip Monthly box comes with a card detailing each product inside the bag. It includes prices along with a note from the Lip Monthly team. I like the design of this month's card and how it is so colorful, it's perfect for spring.

Glamour Dolls Gloss Snob in Wildflower - FULL SIZE! $1.99

The design on the tube is a little different than the current design on the website so I'm not sure if that is because it is older or newer... the color Wildflower is also not available for sale, so it is probably an older product. I didn't think I would like this color on me at all until I put it on. It has the right amount of color pigmentation and will be perfect for summer. I'm also a huge fan of liquid lipsticks and this is similar to that type of formula. Although it's a little sketchy that I couldn't find the exact product online I did like the color so I'm keeping.

Starlooks Perfect Size Lip gloss in Cuddle - FULL SIZE! $9.00

This lip gloss looks like a sample size but it's actually a full-size lip gloss in a nice compact size. I love the color & I like how it doesn't take up any room in my purse so I will keep this! According to the website the Perfect Size lip gloss contains about 70% of the volume of a full-size item. They also tell you to purchase two for best value. This color is out of stock online right now so it must be pretty popular.

Hikari Lipstick in Peony- FULL SIZE! $13

I've tried this brand of lipstick multiple times thanks to subscription boxes. This brand isn't my favorite ever but I do like it. At first glance I was thinking this shade is terrible for me, but it actually ended up looking pretty good! I will keep this to add variety to my makeup collection.

Pencil Me in Eyeliner in Denim Frost - FULL SIZE! $6.99

I love how this pencil is made from natural ingredients and glides on so smooth. I also like the name of the product. The only thing I didn't care for is the color because it is not very practical for me. I think the shade is beautiful, but I feel too old to wear blue eyeliner so I will gift this!

Verdict: So far this is my favorite bag from Lip Monthly! There was a good variety of colors this month and I'm keeping three out of four products given.  This bag totals up to $30.98 and that’s a good deal given the price of the bag. I look forward to seeing what is in next month's bag.

What do you think about April’s Lip Monthly bag? Did you receive the same products?

Note from Liz: On reviews of Lip Monthly in the past, several readers had commented that they had billing issues with Lip Monthly. I’ve reached out to Lip Monthly to let them know about the issues and our concern but please keep the issues in mind if you are considering subscribing.

I’m another subscriber who cancelled after the April bag. I hate the color and the texture of the lipgloss (my husband actually laughed out loud when I tried it and asked if I was going for a clown look). Disappointed with the purple eyeliner, too. I’d rather spend my money on products I will actually use.

I cancelled this subscription after this month. I got a nice nude lipstick color, but it was patchy and seemed old. The orange lipgloss was unwearable it was so orange so I gave it to my 6 year old niece. This bag seemed very cheap to me. I’d rather take the money and buy one good lip product on my own each month. I might come back at some point but between my shopping habits and stuff from other subs… I’m done with Lip Monthly for now.

I cancelled mine after the April bag, too! I just haven’t been happy with them for a while now, and I’m tired of only have one usable item.

I didn’t get this bag design I got a blue one with flowers on it, weird.

Thanks Nancy! I got the same exact items except for the liner – mine was brown. I actually was pleasantly surprised. Typically there will be one or two items that I won’t use. This bag, however was a keeper! BTW, absolutely anyone can rock some blue liner ^_^

I like the size of those “compact” glosses, too. I carry about a dozen lip products in my purse at all times, so smaller = better! BTW, I see your picture beneath the review here, you are not too old to wear blue eyeliner! 🙂

I didn’t love this bag. I saw some other unboxings for this month and there were other items received with much higher values. I feel like these are all pretty low end off brands – other than Starlooks tiny gloss. In past bags we’ve gotten at least one higher end item – like an ofra lipstick, etc.

I’ve been getting this bag for four months and I have never got offra a or any brands that compared I must get the bottom of the barrel crap I hate to give up because lip products are my favorite but it’s been bad
