Blindbox Comics is one of the newer comic subscription boxes out there. They have 3 different purchase options - BlindBox, BlindVariant, or BlindBox + BlindVariant in month-to-month, 3, 6, or 12-month frequencies.
This is a review of the BlindBox + BlindVariant subscription!
I'm going to try something new starting with this Comic Book Subscription Box review. I'll be including the variant value from Midtown Comics, when available!
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Your comics come in one or two envelopes, depending on whether you've added the BlindVariant to your subscription. It's an extra level of excitement for me to reveal the BlindVariant to myself!
It comes with information on your comics along with the curator's thoughts.
Hyperion #1 - Value $3.99
I often forget about all of the other heroes/villains from Marvel that are outside of the X-Men and Avengers. From time to time I get a nice reminder to try a new title! I was introduced to Karnak, an Inhuman, in the first issue of that run of the same title, and I really got into Weirdworld during the Secret Wars - so I'm hoping that this is another new run for me.
The Discipline #1 - Value $2.99
I just got this one last week in ComicBoxer. I have yet to find the time to read anything since then - so this is still new to me.
Turncoat #1 - Value $3.99
BOOM! Studios are putting out a lot of great titles lately - and this one looks to follow suit. This is for mature audiences only. Said to be a mix between the Sci-Fi and Detective genre, this one is exciting for me to jump into. The curator notes that if you're into movies like Blade Runner, this one's for you. Awesome.
Hero Hourly - Value $3.99
This is another mature title (apparently a lot of very mature humor in here). It's also autographed!
I love getting unique items like this in comic boxes!
Power Man and Iron Fist #2 - Value $3.99
This month, this selection was intended to be Samurai #1. But, due to delays from Diamond Comics, that didn't get there in time. So, instead, we get to continue our read from last month with the 2nd issue of Power Man and Iron Fist!
Also - they've noted that Samurai will be in next month's box in addition to the other planned comics! So next month will be packed with value!
Journey to The Force Awakens #1 - Value ??
Ok. This blew my mind. This really isn't about the comic at all, because each one of these is an original work of art from Jason Adams. I hardly wanted to remove this from its slipcase. Every BlindVariant customers got a treat this month - these are all original sketch covers. Some are stenciled (mine is), but a small amount of the covers are actually cut by hand images.
I'm super impressed by this. Oh - it's also signed by Jason Adams on the back. Very unique.
Verdict: Blindbox is my favorite comic subscription at the moment. They seem to always send out valuable, unique, items each month - and on top of the new titles I've been discovering, it makes for a fun subscription for me. The amount you value autographed issues, and unique variants, will determine if this subscription is providing value for you. For me, it typically does provide value with the titles and the unique pieces of art in each box.
