Rachel Zoe Box of Style Spring 2016 Box FULL SPOILERS!

I finally got my box yesterday (it WAS expedited via FedEx direct).

The bag is sadly way too small for me. Smaller than I expected. I can’t use it as a cross body on my 5’9″ rather plus sized body (not RZ’s fault I’m big). It’s just too small for me to really use for anything. I definitely got BROWN. It’s still a nice color but it is brown. I will be selling it since I don’t really know anyone to gift it too. Bummer.

I added up the other items in “my” prices….basically what the items are worth to me (or what I would really be willing to pay). Keep in mind that I’m rather, um, let’s say “thrifty” so I’m sure I am low balling, but again, these are the values to ME:

Earbuds: Certainly not $100. I can’t ever imagine spending that on any earbuds…sorry. I also have never understood things like Bose speakers though so there’s that. So, my value is maybe $25, maybe.. I wish these (or any earbuds I’ve seen) had black cords rather than white.

Jouer: I got Venetian so it’s a green/gold. I can use that. But, my value on that is probably $15.

Blotting papers: I can get these in larger quantities for about $1.50 at Daiso. I’ve used cheap ones and expensive ones and they all work the same for me.

Cuff: I got gold. It’s pretty and amazingly even though I’m plus sized (ok, f…a….t), my wrists are still small. I don’t think I would pay $45 though, maybe $30 tops.

Dry shampoo: Again, have tried cheap and expensive. I like dry shampoo and use it all the time. So, while this will be used I’m thinking my drug store stuff works fine for a lot less. So, maybe $8 tops.

The La Mer is an extra so I won’t value. I do think it odd that they included something that seem so specific (i.e., to use after peels). I would have preferred something more general.

So, without the bag I get “my” value of about $79.50. If can sell the bag I will get my $100 out of it, but still kind of bummed.

I’m not on swaps so that’s out. Maybe I should try to sell the whole box….sigh.

Got my box yesterday. Meh. I was underwhelmed to say the least. I was disappointed in the bag and that’s the thing I was so pumped about. It looks so unfinished, like something I could pick up for maybe ten bucks.
I will probably wait to see what the hero item for summer is, but right now I feel like it’s too much money for not-so-great-quality.

Does anyone know how to look up your account info for this box? I just subscribed for this Spring Box and although I was charged right away, I haven’t heard anything about when it will ship and now the box is sold out. It’s been over a week so I’m not sure if that’s normal. I know there have been complaints about the delayed shipping for this one but I just wanted to look up my account to make sure they still have it listed as the Spring Box. Thanks!

I know there are some very loyal RZ fans…..BUT ,this box screams last year to me.As its been said,most people who get boxes have more than one sub…Everything in this box has been done over and over.If this is sold as trend setting,why so much of the same old things,most of us have gotten before(so much shampoo!) The bag is cute,and a good color for festivals,and whatnot..MY main issue I think is most of this I have gotten all last year many times over(and sometimes better products) from a much cheaper box.Nothing new

I received my box today. I’m pretty sure I got the caramel color, but I agree with the comments that it feels undone. I know it’s handmade, but it kind of feels like something someone would make in a leather-working class, not something a professional made. The top is so raw; isn’t that going to get ruined very quickly?

I’m just curious – is anyone else out there still waiting for their box? I’ve noticed a bunch of people have listed their items from this box on the swap site but mine hasn’t even been shipped yet. Is anyone else in the same boat?

I just received my box today. I love everything I received. The bucket bag is great. Very stylish and will match my style perfectly. I got the blue eye pencil. I never wear blue but hey, maybe I’ll try something different. Typically I would choose a brown color. I love the little gold cuff bracelet. It’s dainty and would look great layering it with a few other pieces I have. The earbuds came just in time. The earbuds I got for Christmas in my stocking were being chewed up by my dog AS I was opening this box! Otherwise I wouldn’t really need these. :). I am so excited to try this dry shampoo. I’ve tried some others but this one sounds great from everyone’s reviews! Oil blotting tissues, I live in SW Florida. I can use these this summer for sure! Our humidity just started coming back yesterday. Overall this box is very useful for me and really made my day when I received it. I subscribe to this and Pop Sugar. Pop Sugar’s March box was ok but I didn’t really feel too excited about anything in it like I normally do. This one took up the slack…also, on the bottom of each page in the description book are discount codes for all the products if you want to order them as gifts! Always love the Zoe box 🙂

The box began shipping March 1st, we experienced a delay in production with our hero item as it is handmade but are sending boxes out everyday on a rolling basis as we receive product. We can’t wait for you to get your Box!

Anybody else having problems getting their box?

I received my box today. I got the carmel bag which I really like. The gold cuff which is real dainty but I am pleased. Love the earbuds. The quality is great and doesn’t hurt my ears. However I did not receive the Jouer crayon..I emailed them and will see what they say. I really am impressed with the box . Thanks Zoe. Looking forward to the summer box.

Why did some people get a $50 gift card? Was supposed to be part of the box? So much disorganization with this box this time… I’m starting to be very concern about my money … I renewed
My annual subscription for this year and I don’t think it was the right choice. I mean.. What happened with the awesome boxes they put together last year ?? ..Except for the winter box.., wich btw my Alexis Bittar ring didn’t last long.. One stone fell off, I contacted BOS and they asked me to send the damaged ring back and promised to replace it… So far, no replacement .. I’ve emailed them again and have received no reports se. I mean I am very upset and disappointed …I’ve been trying to get this resolved for two weeks now

My first Rachel Zoe Box of Style has arrived. It is exquisite as promised and I am glad I finally was able to get in under the wire and subscribe for this box. I love everything. My bag is caramel and it is small but it is divine. I will love using it for the coming seasons. It is perfect for my wallet and cell phone and a small makeup bag for times when you are out and about and want to carry very little. The earbuds are fabulous. I already have a set of Klipsch earbuds which are similar and having a backup pair is a real plus. The LSTN are definitely of the same quality as the Klipsch. I love love love my Jouer eye shadow. I received the marble which is a steel gray color and will be the perfect subtle shadow for smokey eyes or as a liner. It is right on trend. I love LeMer I have used their products off and on for years and can’t wait to try this. The only miss was I did receive the gold Jules Smith bracelet. (If you would like to trade with me please respond to my comment with an email and I will contact you immediately, thank you.) I wear silver and white gold exclusively so I would like to trade with someone for the gold bracelet. Looking forward to see what Rachel will pick for us for Summer as she is right on trend (as she would be) for Spring.

With regards to the bag… I think we all got the same colour and that the photo’s on instagram etc are in different light which is changing the perceived colour of the bag.

You’ll notice firstly that RZ states that the bag is exclusive, which I believe means that it’s a different brown colour from both the options on the brands website. The retail value of the bag is different, and our bags have not arrived with the embossed logo. I think she had a batch made specifically for the box of style which would explain all these differences.

I just wanted to say that I got a J Crew Add today for spring and inside was that same little bag with the very long strap and tassels in all different colors, its the “IT” bag this spring. Rachel Zoe is right on trend. I think her boxes are really for the girl / woman that likes to stay on trend and it is pretty upscale products inside too at a very inexpensive price. I love this little bag with jeans and a white t-shirt with brown gladiator sandles this summer if you dont want a clunky bag for dinner, or shopping, just lightweight cute as heck bag. I agree with others about the earbuds, but, I actually need them and these are the best from all the boxes, the rest have been great gifts to my teen and 20’s Christmas recipients. The eyeshadow is great again for the younger set, over 40 is hard to wear sparkly eyeshadow…but not all over 40’s like to stay as on trend as I do which is why I sub to this box! I like the blotting papers, those of us with personal summers keep that sort of thing in there little purse all the time! LOL. I have such a beautiful collection of Rachel’s items, and I give some things away, but overall she does a great job. We will not always get what we like personally, but always the value is there. And also…just a thought, do you think maybe some people think “Carmel” is not the brown we all got? We all got the same color! LOL…just sayin, no offense to anyone. Have a good one!

I got my box and I really like everything. I enjoy the fact that I get to try things I likely wouldn’t have chosen myself.
The bag is what I would consider caramel color. The leather is sturdy but supple. The unfinished top edge helps it pull closed easily. The strap is long enough to take off/on comfortably. It is roomy enough for a small crossbody type- I can easily fit my essentials(phone, lipgloss, sunnies and monies).
I of course got the eye crayon in the one color I didn’t want-mosaic- silvery light blue-but I actually think it looks good with my gray blue eyes so what do I know, ha ha!
I don’t have any good earbuds so I’m thrilled with the great style and sound from them, yay!
La Mer- ummm…who doesn’t want to try that-win!
I got a silver bracelet which is great since I prefer to wear mostly silver but I’d have been okay with gold too. It is more delicate than I thought and fits my big wrist. Unfortunately, I had to pass on the first BOS due to the tip off by an MSA commenter on the small bracelet so I’m super happy we’re getting jewelry more people can wear.
I use blotting papers and dry shampoo almost daily. Let’s face it, the underpinnings of fabulousness aren’t always sexy (can you say Spanx?); so I’m perfectly okay with inclusion of the not so exciting fashion necessities with all the sexy goodies. Hope everyone gets their boxes soon.

The other brown I have seen is a rich dark brown – no complaints from me. I like both hues.

I’ve been a subscriber since day one and I’ve never been so disappointed. I already packed everything back up and sent an email asking for a refund. Honestly I could deal with the terrible eyeshadow color (silver baby blue), the silver bangle (I only wear gold), but the bag! I was so looking forward to that bag and instead of a beautiful caramel color it’s a dull, dark brown. My heart literally sank.

My BOS shipping label was created on Wednesday however it has not left the facility. I doubt that it has even been packed yet at the fulfillment center. I worked at a logistics company who had sub boxes for clients so I know how this works. FedEx shipping is expedited and says it is scheduled to be delivered by this coming Monday. I doubt it since it is still in the facility at City of Industry, CA. This is my first BOS and it does not reflect good planning on the part of RZ. I receive another box from the UK and it was billed out on March 1 and I received it via USPS in a week after leaving the facility in the UK. I hope someone from RZBOS is reading these and takes notice of how unhappy first time customers and long time customers are concerning this BOS. At least their customer service has been nice and polite to me.

I received my box yesterday, and sadly to say, I don’t like the bag. It is tiny, and isn’t the quality I thought it would be. It just seems unfinished, like someone started to make a bag and stopped just short. It doesn’t really seem to touch the quality of the bag I received in last year’s ‘summer box.’ Disappointed. Cancelling after this one.

How many people haven’t yet gotten their shipping notifications? I haven’t gotten mine, received an email about delayed shipping but assuring me my order had gone to the “fulfillment center”. I was one of the original subscribers, not sure why that wouldn’t mean the order would go out in order of account number. The only anomaly I see from my account is that the original order, in March of 2015, shows still “processing” while all the others, including February of 2016, shows “completed”.

No they’re not the same. They were supposed to all be the same light Caramel color, but a lot of people (myself included) got the very dark brown color. If you go on the LA Shaffer site they have both the colors so you can compare. The dark one is no where near as nice as the light ):

I have checked out the YouTube reviews and the bag looks great! My box just shipped (as I was notified) and won’t be here until the end of the month but I am looking forward to it. Too, I am so glad RZ introduced us to Shaffer LA, I cannot wait to get my hands on more of their styles! I am really confused about the complaints of the bag colors, though. Are they or aren’t they all the same? Thanks.

I’ve been wanting to sub to this box for a long time but the price always got me to think twice. I’ve wasted too much money on the Must Have boxes over the years. I decided to finally go for it as a birthday present to myself after seeing the spoilers. I’m super excited to get it!!! I looked up the purse since that’s the main reason I was finally sold (along with the La Mer) and it’s really cute, although the brown color was the least inspired color they had. The red one or the hot pink one would’ve been AMAZING (oh and on the site it retails for $188 so an even better deal)! Oh well, I’m still super happy with this box and am looking forward to getting such an awesome treat every few months!!

My box was missing 2 of the items, the dry shampoo and the blotting papers. And the bag doesn’t have anything embossed on it like the tag claims. It would have been nice if they included the brand’s hallmark on it. to me this is my least favorite of all boxes and I’ve been subscribed since the first one. To me earbuds are the sub box cop out item, included when they need to add something to round out a box. I remember when Nina Garcia sent them as the hero item a few years ago and how upset people were (granted they were listed as being $125 retail which added to the absurdity). In any event they’re such a common and blasé product in sub boxes that I’m disappointed RZ included them. For those who received a different color bag than advertised, since they chose to release the “hero” item as an enticement and said nothing about possible variations, they were obligated to send what was advertised. It is legitimate grounds for a return/refund for those who are unhappy. I did get the caramel color and the gold bracelet, both of which I’m happy to have. I’m just disappointed that my bag appears to have been a rush job, I’m missing 2 items completely and because they tossed in some earbuds as part of a style box. Because heaven knows we all strut around wearing coordinated headphones when we want to look good.

To throw my two cents into the mix…I got the same email about my shipping being upgraded at no extra charge and, unlike some, it appears mine actually was. Shipped via FedEx on Tuesday and scheduled to arrive by Friday. For comparison’s sake, I’m a new subscriber and live on the east coast. I also received the $50 gift card last week. So it seems there’s no rhyme or reason to the shipping or gift card.

Got my tracking info tonight and it looks like it’s expedited. I’m very happy with this box even though I don’t use dry shampoo.
