Salem Baking Company Meyer Lemon Moravian Cookies (2.75 oz.)- $4.99
Moravian cookies are something of a local treat in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. For those who’ve never had them, traditional Moravian cookies are crisp, thin, and taste a bit like speculoos cookies (full of spices like ginger, cinnamon, and cloves).
True to form, these are nicely thin and crispy, but they’re flavored with meyer lemon instead of the traditional spice blend.
Theo 65% Dark Chocolate Almond Coconut Bar (3 oz.)- $4.99 (on sale for $3.25)
This limited edition bar from Seattle-based Theo is all about spring! It’s smooth and creamy, and I like the addition of coconut and almond.
This bar is also gluten-free, non-GMO, fair trade, and organic.
3 Kids and a Kitchen Caramels (3 caramels)- $1.65
I’ve tried this brand of caramels before, thanks to OrangeGlad, and I’m a fan!
This little packet contains a selection of salted and old fashioned caramels.
Claire Squares Jammy Jacks (2.2 oz.)- $6.99
Jammy Jacks are a twist on traditional Irish flapjacks. The chewy bars have a layer of raspberry jam in the center, and they’re kind of like a dessert version of a chewy granola bar.
Truffle Pig Piglets (3 truffles)- $3
First of all, I absolutely love the name of this snack, and, to make things even cuter, each small truffle is pressed into the shape of a piglet. The bite-sized sweets are smooth, creamy, rich, and packed full of flavor. I love them!
Verdict: This was a fantastic OrangeGlad Sweet Box! The Moravian Cookies, Theo bar, and truffles were all delicious, and I think this box had an excellent balance of items. From chocolate to truffles and cookies to caramels, this box had a little bit of everything! According to my estimates, the retail cost of the items in this box totals almost $22. That exceeds the cost of the box, so I’m pleased.
