they charged way more than it stood on the page
I ended up paying 106 dollars for the plus box. 90,90 without taxes
But when I asked them why they didn’t even answer, at least not yet.
I’ve send them a second email now

the box was good tho and I liked all the stuff, I ended up not getting a maskbrush tho since they didn’t have any left but I got something to keep the hair out of my face instead.

so advice to other europeans… don’t get this, the price is way more than what you get

So here’s what I did.
I looked at the sample box you see when you go to subscribe. I looked on Amazon Prime (where I buy most my beauty products) to see how much each item is worth, so says Amazon. The Etude cream is $6.44, the SkinFood mask is $7.32, the aloe toner is $11.99 and the lip tint/ gloss is about $3.42 (on Amazon and Pink Seoul you but it in a set of 6. The set on Amazon is $20.50 so the single price is an estimate). I couldn’t identify and price the other two bigger items and didn’t bother checking the single use masks (I make my own masks already). So what I found is a grand total of $29.17 for a box that costs about $20 ($40 for two boxes is what you specifically subscribe to).

I know that they probably used their best items for the promo picture and are going off their website prices, which all seem to be much higher than Amazon. But assuming every box is around the $25-30 mark, you’re getting your moneys worth, so long as you actually like the items.

Yes, it is a bit pricey, but I don’t think it’s the rip off some people think it is.

I Looove this box. I am so happy with mine. The packaging is so nice and there is thorough instruction cards detailing every product plus a ton of other info…things you do not get when ordering elsewhere or on the very minimal, (if any) english instructions on a lot of these product. I felt totally informed and really liked the obvious effort that went in to curating the boxes; for me, that speaks volumes. I’d also like to point out, for the record, as it seems a lot of people are commenting on the price vs. value of this box compared to other boxes and also what you can purchase the products for elsewhere; that my first box, which was 39.95..(around 35 with my discount code) and ignoring the over inflated, original brand prices listed on the card, I set out to find my own, as I always do with sub boxes, and even after searching every product in the box on Amazon etc, including large multi mask packs and using the lowest amount of its worth.. my box value still came pretty close to $60.00, pre tax on any item and without factoring in any shipping costs. In my opinion; that’s still a really great value, to get all of it in one box, tailored to my skin care concerns, with full instructions etc. It is still early, so time will tell if this remains true in the future, but as competitive as these boxes are now, I have high hopes for this one. This being said, as an Amazon Prime member, big thanks for the Amazon K-beauty info. I now know the best, least expensive option to re-purchase the items I love from my boxes and will no longer spend too much for single products at Ulta UO & Sephora!!!

I really want to try Pink Seoul, but the price is a little high plus I currently subscribe to Mishibox and I love them and their customer service. If Pink Seoul offers a coupon in the near future, I’d love to try a box. Otherwise, Mishibox will continue to get my money.

Love K-beauty! Like that they customize and contain good proven products. Realized that not all K-beauty products are created equal and sample sizes are not enough to see results. Oh no… I need to stop subscribing to all these boxes… Last one. :p

I ordered my first mask box. I’m glad they don’t just include sheet masks. I love Lindsay modeling mask!

I love the concept, but as others said, the cost seems high. I’ve recently gotten into k-beauty and the products in general are affordable if you take the time to do some research and comparison shop. I was tempted to get the mask subscription, but that works out to about $3 a mask. I know it includes an accessory item, but even on Amazon, there are mask sets for way cheaper. For example, I just got an 11 pack of Tony Moly masks for under $10. If PinkSeoul cut the price in half, it’d be more tempting. I understand that there’s some curating involved, plus the language barrier to some of the websites can be intimidating. I haven’t subscribed to any of the k-beauty boxes yet, but memebox and mishiibox appear to be better values.

Wow this is so overpriced. One of the amazing parts of kbeauty is how affordable it is and it’s disappointing that these companies are swooping in to capitalize on the trend. I hope people do their research and releasing this is a ludicrous markup for these items.

Thank you for saying that!!! I have left comments on soko glam, sephora and several other sites who are taking advantage of peoples lack of knowledge about what these products are worth. The $49.99 has a real value of about $20.00 and that is a HUGE rip off!!! Most of these masks sell for pennies not dollars and on top of that a lot of the brands are no different then your typical drug store item. Most are not high end Korean brands. Please everyone do a little bit of research first.

Beauteque is way cheaper and then also send full size items with a beauty tool every month plus a makeup bag (like ipsy does). Plus they are always running promos to save on monthly subscriptions. I’d check them out too if you are looking at k-beauty

Way overpriced value wise. You could get most of it cheaper on memebox and have it in a couple days (or do something like Jolse and get it even cheaper, free international shipping, and they include so many samples it is like a free sample box every time you order).

Shop around for k beauty! I agree with 3b being a better option to try things out. Also the around $15 mask sub (what is the name?!?)

Ashley, yes, shop around! I find KBeauty products at TJMaxx, Marshall’s & Tuesday Morning. I just picked up 2 tubes of Welco Deep Cleansing Foam – one in grape seed & one in black bean. They were $3.99 for 150 grams (5.2 ounces). I always find paper masks there for $3.99 to $4.99 for 3-5 in a pack. You just need to know how to look for them, that’s all. I’ve even received some great deals on Amazon. I picked up a Shara Shara Honey Bomb ampoule for $29 ($11 savings). You just never know.

CUTE! Super excited to try Pinkseoul. Love that they are full size items and they include different accessory with their box. Looks like first accessory is a hairband to use during face wash and mask session! Just ordered Plus box. Can’t wait to try the Mizon snail cream (yes. snail slime. *^^*). Great value as that cream alone is around $50 and includes 3 other full size items and more.

Rain

That is incredibly overpriced! You can buy that same cream for $13-20 on other websites.

Oh no, I already subscribed! I need to stop checking this site.

I love K-beauty products. I am tempted but I think I find a better value in the Memebox. I will think about it for a while before I decide for sure.
