This month's theme is Cracking the Case! I love these cards because they also include suggestions of what movies and tv to watch, what books and comics to read and what games to play for that month. And each card has artwork on the opposite side:

I love this design! (My husband Eric loves it too - he's pretty jealous!)

Paper Girls Issue #1 - Value $3

I'm about halfway through this comic and I like it! Here is the summary from Amazon:

In the early hours after Halloween of 1988, four 12-year-old newspaper delivery girls uncover the most important story of all time. Stand By Me meets War of the Worlds in this mysterious young adult adventure, starting with a spectacular DOUBLE-SIZED FIRST ISSUE for the regular price of just $2.99!

Elementary Clyde the Turtle Necklace - Value ?

I haven't watched Elementary, so feel free to let me know the meaning of this turtle - and if you recommend the show! (More pictures of the necklace below.)

Hannibal Drink the Rude Mini Goblet - Value?

Both of these items are exclusive designs from FanMail, too!

X-File Case File Replica by 10 & Under - Value?

This is a fun prop and I don't even watch the X-Files! (Eric is a fan, though, so he enjoyed this prop!)

fanmail-feb-2016-evidence

I love the packaging in this box too! Inside this evidence bag:

fanmail-feb-2016-mars

Nelson and Murdock Notebook

Alias Investigations Business Card

Veronica Mars Promo Card

Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Veronica Mars?! Love it! (Veronica Mars is one of my all-time favorite shows!)

And this box also included a Sneak Peek (3 Chapters) of The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas.

And a promo card for Benefit of the Doubt by Neal Griffin.

Verdict: I think FanMail puts together such a fun and thoughtfully put together box! The value of this box is tough to determine since most items are exclusives, so I think it is better to just ask yourself if this box is worth $22 to you.

Hi! Just wondering, how does the shirt fit? Is it a women’s fit or unisex? I usually fit a women’s size medium, but when I got a medium from a Loot Crate box, it was so tiny, I had to give it to my daughter ?

I thought this was one of their best boxes yet! Everything really fit into the theme and their packaging is always a nice touch to make things feel extra special (that evidence bag was brilliant!). I love the shirt, but the Clyde necklace is probably my favorite. Plus I was one of the lucky ones who got the ARC of The Darkest Corners, totally going on my reading list this weekend. 🙂

This box looks so fun! I could get into this, but like with Fandom of the Month, I am squeamish about commiting without knowing what fandoms might be included…

Their boxes usually have a theme that includes several different fandoms and they have an option to skip a month if that theme isn’t for you. March is going to be ‘Mostly Dead’ and according to their Facebook page will include items from The Walking Dead, Shaun of the Dead, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Thanks, Carrie, that is super helpful!

Love Veronica Mars!!! Liz, have you seen the movie and read the books? The movie was a crowd funded thing and brings back the original cast and creator. The books are written by the creator of the show so very true to the characters and story. The first audiobook is also narrated by Kristen Bell (the second is not) so definitely try the audiobook for it! That audiobook made an entire day of scrubbing my apartment top to bottom go by very quickly. I mean, they’re not as brilliant as the show (because what is?) but they are very very good, super entertaining, and help scratch that Marshmallow itch!

Awesome tip about the first audiobook! Thanks!

Yes to the movie and the first book – but I can’t believe I didn’t get the audible version! That would have been so much better! I’ll add Mr. Kiss and Tell to my reading list.

Yay for helping to scratch that Marshmallow itch! 🙂 (I find re-watching the series every few years helps too!)

OMG, a Clyde necklace! Brilliant. Clyde is Holmes and Watson’s pet turtle who they adopt during a case. He periodically pops up throughtout the series. The Clyde moments are hilarious. Highly recommend “Elementary.” Binge watch it.

Agreed, Elementary is a fantastic show… definitely binge on it and then catch up on the new episodes!
