Apple Cider Vinegar Hair Rinse by dp HUE - 1 oz Value $4
This is one of my favorite discoveries in that box. Just a warning - it definitely has the apple cider vinegar smell! It lathers like a shampoo, and you leave it in for 1-3 minutes - super easy! I used a conditioner after, but according to their site, this can substitute for both a shampoo and conditioner. The product is designed to cleanse your scalp and hair by removing build-up from other hair products. I could definitely feel the difference after using it.
And! I assumed this 1 oz sample would be good for only one use, but I think I should be able to get 2-3 uses out of it!
Cargo Blush in Catalina and Bronzer in Medium - 3.2 g Value $10.40
When the spoilers for this box came out, I wasn't sure if the Cargo item would be an eyeshadow, a blush or a bronzer - and they still surprised me! I love that this is a blush/bronzer duo! Both these shades work well for my skin tone, and the pigment is good, too. The bronzer has a touch of shimmer, but it is barely noticeable.
Nunzio Saviano Anti-Frizz Sheets (2) - Value $3
Dryer sheets for your hair! (Just kidding - sort of!) These wet wipes smell like coconut and are designed to fight frizz. I love the scent, and while I felt a little weird applying a wet wipe all over my hair - it worked! And you get the added bonus of coconut scented hair!
Macadamia Ultra Rich Moisture Cleansing Conditioner - 2 oz Value $5.20
I love the scent of Macadamia products, so I might have overdone it when using this cleansing conditioner. I used it as a substitute for both a shampoo and conditioner and my hair feels super soft now, but it also is borderline greasy. Next time I'll try using less, or just using it as a conditioner.
Julep Konjac Sponge - Value $12
I love these Konjac Sponges from Julep! They are great for gentle exfoliation - and do a great job and cleansing too. (I had used a makeup remover wipe before using this, and it got some of the makeup I had missed!)
One very important thing to mention - this sponge arrives wet. This is different from many other konjac sponges I've tried - so it could be surprising if you aren't expecting it!
Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder - 1 gram Value $5
This finishing powder is incredibly fine, so it gives a great invisible finish and helps prevent shine. I love it - but I read to be careful with wearing this if you are expecting flash photography.
L'Oreal Pro-Last Infallible Lip Color in Violet Parfait - FULL SIZE! Value $10
This is a very nice surprise of a bonus item! (It isn't listed in the editorial info, but there is an ad for it on the back of the booklet.) I liked this violet parfait color more than I thought I would, and the moisturizing lip balm to go on top of it is amazing. I may just use it alone sometimes! Here is the color swatched:
Verdict: This box has a value of about $50! I think that's great for a $15 beauty box, and Allure has been doing a great job with brands and sample sizes lately!
