Pop In A Box is a UK subscription box that sends you Funko POPs every month! They've started to ship to the US earlier this year, and I finally caved and gave it a shot! You can sign up to receive 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, or 12 POPs each month. This is a review of a 12-POP delivery.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
The Subscription Box: Pop In A Box
The Price: $9.99 + Shipping (My shipping was about $5)
The Products: Pop In A Box allows you to grow your POP! collection every month with a guaranteed mystery Funko POP! Vinyl that's not in your collection.
Ships to: US, UK, and Canada
This box ships very quickly, so they must have distribution in the US now. About 2-3 days after I was charged, the box was at the door.
I went all-in this month and went for the 12-pack of POPs.
Here's a quick run-down of creating your PIAB account:
The first thing you'll want to do is set up your collection. This is an important step to ensure that you don't receive a duplicate POP or a POP that you may not care about.
You can cycle through POPs and selection options for each one. Mark 'I HAVE THIS' for POPs you have and avoid duplicates. Give POPs a thumbs down to let PIAB know that you don't want it, and mark it as thumbs up to let them know that you're really interested in that specific POP.
There are a TON of POPs to go through. I haven't even gone through all of them, but in the end, you'll have built your own collection! This will help you keep track of what you have, and it will help PIAB know what to send.
No duplicated - the collection system seems to work flawlessly!
In this batch, I received:
Nien Nunb
Sidon Ithano
Nalan Cheel
Spot
Lone Wanderer
Reverse Flash
And my second group of POPs includes:
Captain Phasma
Hamm
Marceline
Captain Cold
Killer Croc
James Gordon
As promised, here is a picture of my collection (I still have more shelves to put up)
Verdict: This is a great subscription for collectors like me that love building out their collection. You do save money when you're getting more and more POPs, too. So far, not only have I received no duplicates, but I received newer POPs, like the latest Marceline POP from Adventure Time - so that's really exciting! Also, for each POP in your subscription plan, you have a chance to win a Ride or rare POP - so that makes the unboxing fun too!
