Pley has expanded their rental service beyond legos! They now offer American girl clothing sets, electronic sets, and other non-lego toys!

Legos are still available, but if you are thinking of renting lego sets I recommend checking out Anna’s reviews of Pley first.

The Explorer Plan is $9.99 for 1 toy a month, and The Adventurer Plan is $19.99 a month for unlimited toy rentals a month. Use coupon code SPARK50 to save 50% off your first month of either plan.

Good to know: Shipping is free both ways, and you can cancel your account online at any time.

  1. This promo code seems to have expired 🙁 Anyone know of another one?

  2. I took a look at what they offer for American Girl dolls and it’s pathetic. I can pay $10 to play and rent one outfit for one month, or I can buy the same outfit for $28. Hmm, guess which one I’m likely to do?

I can see how this makes sense for Legos, where you build them once and you may never play with them again, but it doesn’t really work like that with doll clothing. Now, if instead of that they offered playsets, that’d be a very different thing. I’d be totally eager to rent those for a month.

  3. We have had Pley for more than six months. It is definitely true that Lego pieces are sometimes missing and while frustrating for my son, he is usually able to finish the piece. The Lego sets takes about a week to get to us after they ship. We haven’t had any customer service issues as of yet. I didn’t see any toys we would be interested in getting so we will stick with the Lego sets for now.
