LitCube is a book and reading inspired subscription box. I think book subscriptions are my favorite new subscription category, so I had to sign up for this one!

Each box comes with an info card detailing the items included. This month's theme is "Classic Romance."

litcube-feb-2016-jane

Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen - Retail Value $14.99

This cover from Dream Catcher Books was designed exclusively for LitCube. (You can get other paperback versions for much less, so I appreciate that LitCube made this unique). And this is the perfect selection for a "Classic Romance" theme.

And we have adorable bookmarks to go with this book!

litcube-feb-2016-bookmark

Happy Hello Elizabeth Bennett & Mr. Darcy Bookmarks - Value $4.99

Another (adorable) exclusive! I love Happy Hello bookmarks, too. I'm building quite a collection thanks to subscription boxes.

Wuthering Heights Wallet - Value $30?

This is another exclusive! (I linked to a phone case with the same design). Here is the back of the wallet:

And inside:

Perfect addition to this box in my opinion!

litcube-feb-2016-perfume

Fiction Fragrances Austen-Inspired Perfume - Value $6

Jack Valley Lavender Lemon Truffles - Value $4

Here is the perfume out of the package:

Interesting - this perfume is listed as the "wearable" for the box this month! I appreciate the creativity, but I'm guessing most subscribers were expecting an article of clothing or accessory as the wearable in the box. (No major complaints, though - I am impressed with the items in this box!) The scent is a fresh floral fragrance. Not for me, but I like the idea!

And here are the truffles:

They smell so good! (I couldn't eat these because of dairy, but I was told they were delicious!)

litcube-feb-2016-print

Pride & Prejudice 5X7 Print - Retail Value Listed $6

Verdict: I think the curation and theme for this box is excellent. Great classic romance items, and tons of exclusives! The value is good too - over $60. I wasn't a huge fan of the January box, but this feels more like the wonderful curation I've come to expect from LitCube.

Love it!!! Great curation! Somewhere on Lit-Cube’s social media they made it very clear a while back that the “wearable ” item was not always going to be a t-shirt so that doesn’t bother me at all that they sent perfume. I had to cancel a couple months back due to my budget but I highly recommend this subscription & would subscribe again in an instant. Also if you missed this box you can always send the owner, Peggy, a message and sometimes she has a couple extra.?

I adore this box! I’ll admit I peeked at what was up for swap before I got my box and was a little bummed at first by the book choice as it’s one I already own. But in person it really is a nice edition and with the amazing curation, it’s grown on me, LOL. I love and will use every single thing in the box, but the wallet is my favorite! Mine came with a little chain inside that can be attached to the zipper. I’m going to carry it as a clutch on occasions when I don’t want to take my giant purse with me. 🙂 And I would easily have dropped the cost of the box on the wallet alone if I’d seen it in a store somewhere, so everything else is just a bonus!

This was an excellent box! I wish I had gotten one because that Wuthering Heights wallet is divine and worth the cost of the box on its own.

I was going to get this box but then changed my mind?. Kicking myself now!

I guess I will be the voice of dissent. I was bummed about the book. I already have it. And this particular copy – the print inside is super tiny. No thank you.
I think the wallet is genius, but at the same time I was hoping for a phone case because I am very particular about my wallets – the slots, change purse and all that.
This was my first lit-cube box and I’m intrigued enough to try another month or two. But I wasn’t wowed like I thought I would be.

Tina, you’re not alone. I feel like this is a book that almost everyone who was interested in the theme would already have, and I especially agree about the size of the print in the book. It is really tiny. (The good part about being a dissenting voice is that everything from this box I put up for swaps was in high demand.)

I see several people mentioning putting items up for swap. Where do you do such swaps?

I KNEW I should have gone with litcube this month because of the theme. I was on the fence between this and owlcrate! I already know I will love the owlcrate book but I LOVE this box! So creative!

I wanted to so subscribe to lit cube but when they announced their monthly wearables I told myself you don’t wear Tshirts. Don’t do it. Now I see what came this month and I am so angry at myself for not subscribing. Lucky you! This is an amazing box.

I loved this box! That wallet is fabulous. I’m so happy about it. Everything in the creator’s etsy shop is so wonderful, but somewhat pricey. I could not believe it when I opened this box and saw it in there. Also, I can never get enough of these adorable magnetic bookmarks. I love that they are a thing now. Keep them coming! 😀

I’ve been waiting for you to review this box so I could comment and say that this is my favorite box in any subscription box of all time! I still can’t talking about that wallet! Pride and Prejudice is my favorite book so it feels like this month’s box was made for me 🙂

I didn’t eat the truffles, either, because I’m not into eating lavender, but my mom also said they were delicious — so delicious that she indulged by eating both at the same time, which is unlike her.

The wallet is adorable! But thankfully I no longer sub to this box, I hate Jane Austen. Probably makes me a terrible person lol. But LitCube seems to have the cutest curation and again love the wallet!
