Is anyone else having trouble leaving a review for their samples? Whenever I click review it takes me to the item’s page. And then if I try to review directly from there, it refreshes the page 🙁

Nevermind. Apparently, it only looked like I was logged in.

Definitely the curated box! I see several samples that I would LOVE to try in that one! I don’t need anymore shampoos (dry or wet) that’s for sure! 😉

Any help is appreciated.

I should know this, as I am a loyal BB subscriber (for who knows what reason besides points, lol) but if I add a 2nd account, will I get the February box automatically? When do you think I could start it up to get this box (March) above?

Reply ButtonReply

Debbie

It says “refer a friend by Feb 23rd” so that is probably the cut-off day to get February’s box. It also still says “Get your February Box” if you go to their website.

Amanda

I know when I started my sub at the end of January, I got the Korean Beauty box. So my intention is to wait for March to start a second sub 🙂

Shellie

I’m definitely going for the curated box. It all a peals to me.
I joined late last month and haven’t had a chance to choose yet. If I do nothing, will I get the curated box?

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

No, you have to select the curated box.

Carleeelaina

Don’t know if you already posted about this, but birchbox no longer awards points for sharing your monthly box on social media.

Reply ButtonReply

Lindsay

they don’t on the website but when I tried it in the app it still gave me points.

Reply ButtonReply

Carleeelaina

Customer support told me this when I emailed about my missing points, I’ll have to try through the app. Thanks for the tip.

Dani

Thanks for the tip!! It worked for me in the app, too

Amanda

Do you think if you receive one of the shampoo/conditioner choices that you will get an extra 10 points for reviewing them both ? That may sway me if so…

Rebecca

I’m not thrilled by the curated box but will probably get one for one of my subs. On the other, I don’t want to pick any of those (especially dry shampoo) – so maybe I’ll pick none of them and get none of them? I mean, some people do sample choice and then don’t get it, so maybe if I don’t pick, they’ll just give me something else.

I didn’t realize that to shop at Birchbox and use codes/points and all that, you don’t have to be a subscriber. When my subs run out later this year, I think I may be switching to Allure (I already have Glossybox from the Gilt City deal) or Boxycharm, but I love the Birchbox points. I guess I can buy curated or LE boxes if something looks awesome. I just won’t get the opportunity to get points for reviewing samples.

I wish I could just get Birchbox to send *a* box, period. They sent box 2 of a gift sub to an old address even though box 1 *and* a full size order went to the correct address. Then they wouldn’t delete the old address until I put in a credit card (uh, how’d I pay for the full size order?).

From these comments, I see lots of repeating samples over multiple years and I can sure attest to their system performance being a huge joke. Will be glad when the next two boxes are over, I can give away samples I probably have no interest in, and stop babysitting a company that should have gotten it together long before now.

Brooke

Like many, not thrilled with anything. Again. Some more. But I’ll bite on the curated because I <3 anything Kiehl's and because I'll gauge my own eyes out if I wind up with another dry shampoo.

I actually have cancelled ALL subs – now doing only LE boxes – but I have kept 1 BB account for the points….

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

I see that several people have two accounts. I am seriously considering that, as I can’t decide what to choose, the curated or a sample. I know I can buy the curated box later, but I like the points system. Does everyone find that two subs to this work out well? I just stared Birchbox end of January, but so far I totally LOVE it. I don’t have a giant stash of samples yet, so it’s all new and exciting to me.

Basically I’m looking for justification here. I will have to explain why I suddenly started getting ANOTHER box each month to the hubby…

Reply ButtonReply

Debbie

I have 3 accounts but don’t use them all the time. I started getting repeats even though I have my profiles set differently. Your best bet is to get the curated box on one account and your regular box on the other.

Reply ButtonReply

Joy

Having two accounts worked for me for a long time. I set my profiles to be completely different to minimize overlap which worked well most of the time. It’s nice to be able to pick the currated and still get another box. I only cancelled my second account last month because the box ended us identical to my primary account, despite the different settings, so I’m leaving it cancelled until there’s a month where the currated box sparks my interest so I don’t end up with doubles of all the samples.

Crystal

Curated box for me this month. I’m curious about the milk sample. But…last month I didn’t choose anything and received a fabulous Sunday Riley sample and am kind of considering rolling the dice again and seeing what other treasures come my way if I don’t select anything at all. Decisions, decisions.

Jen

Nothing is really grabbing me this month, and the last three months have been such a bust for me. I think it’s time for me to say good-bye to Birchbox and hello to Allure.

Reply ButtonReply

mimiretz

Nothing is screaming “must have” to me, so I’ll probably go with an all-surprise box.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

Me too!

Amber

In just got my February box and my medium coarse serum (for my fine hair) leaked all over the box. I emailed them as a heads up but I’ll be canceling either way and seeing this post confirms that’s the right choice.

I’ve been a subscriber for almost two years, I’ve tried most of the Parlor line and I don’t like any of it. Ive gotten the Amika dry shampoo before (along with any other dry shampoo Birchbox sells) AND I’ve gotten the No.4 shampoo and conditioner. I guess my time with them has just run out.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

My hair stuff did the same thing. I contacted CS, and they’re supposed to be mailing me a replacement, but I’m kind of already done with Birchbox at this point anyway.

Reply ButtonReply

Amber

They told me that they were out of the product (which was fine, I wasn’t really looking for a replacement) – but they credited me with 50 points. So now I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place – do I sub for one more month to get me to $30 worth of points, or basically let those 50 points go to waste. I hate to not pick anything from these choices because I know I’ll get stuck with the Parlor shampoo as that’s the one Parlor sample I haven’t gotten yet – but I REALLY don’t like that line, I don’t WANT that!

I swear it’s like they KNEW I was planning to cancel.

Melanie

I hold 2 subscriptions so I can score both curated and my regular monthly box- mainly for the points system and I LOVE collecting the cute boxes! I just had to watch the youtube video to see what the other box looked like since it wasn’t pictured. I’m happy with the curated this month and I loved the tiny smashbox trios to fit in my small purses. I’m not so happy with the sample choices but I’ll go with the dry shampoo. I’m a little nervous/excited because I have a designated account I use to pick curated boxes and made my beauty profile thing a little funky and opposite of myself but I’ll have to switch them around this month since I’ve already sampled the dry shampoo and won’t get review points otherwise. I’ve only gotten 2 makeup items in the past 3 months in my normal sample boxes and they were the choice items I picked for January & December- the eyeko eyeliner and the coastal scents eyeshadow. I didn’t receive anything makeup related in this month’s box! Not complaining, just took me by surprise how much variety they have. But if I get one more perfume sample…

Reply ButtonReply

Jenny

The curated box looks great! I already have 3 of those Smashbox trios, and I love them! Fabulous for travel.

Reply ButtonReply

seattlestar

I’ve had my share of dry shampoos, regular shampoos, conditioners and bonus packets too. I agree that they should be having new sample choice products for 2016. Some I have tried before and it doesn’t appeal to me. So it looks like I’m going for the curated box this month!

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

Meh. Don’t see anything that grabs me. I guess I’ll let it ride & be surprised.

I really, really hate how they send out shampoos that are 5x the size of the conditioners, though…. maybe I’ll try & pick the dry shampoo just because of that.

Amanda

Has anyone tried the other Arrow products? I’ve misplaced my lip balm and was considering adding on the kit if the other two products are worth it.

Reply ButtonReply

Samira

It’s amazing. I absolutely love it. And will be getting another one. 🙂 Super moisturizing and the color is very pretty.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

I bought the Arrow kit when it first came out and love all three products. The deodorant is small but a cool unique scent, and I like the color of the lip balm and the cheek stain.

Reply ButtonReply

Tamara

Oof. I dunno about this one. I hate Number 4 and have too much Amika dry shampoo as it is. I’ve never tried Parlour.

I’m most interested in the Milk lippie but I’m not too sure about that color. And the rest of the curated box is super meh. I imagine the Smashbox would be pretty swappable, though.

Ugh! I wish I could pick the Milk as my sample choice!

Lisa

People are saying we don’t get points for items we’ve had in the past..is that for sure? I’ve never noticed that I hadn’t received review points for things I’d already received..but I’m not sure.

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

I had that problem this month – the site wouldn’t let me review one of my products, because I’ve had it before. I just emailed them and asked for 10 points because of it. Guess what? They apologized and added 60 points. Email them!!

Reply ButtonReply

Karissa

I think I’m going with the curated box! I love everything smashbox.

Reply ButtonReply

Desiree

Curated looks like a winner, winner!!❣

Anna

I’m sick of that Amika dry shampoo (seriously, I have about six of those things already) and I hate anything from the Parlor brand. I hope I can get the curated box before it sells out. Oh Birchbox, were it not for your fabulous points system, you’d be history for me. Sigh.
