birchbox-LE-why-not-nail-therapy

amika Nourishing Mask - Travel-Size (60 ml) Value $12

This hair mask is free of parabens, sulfates, and artificial colors, and it is safe for color treated hair! I love a hair mask that you only have to leave in for a few minutes, and I could tell a difference in the softness in my hair after using this just once!

Kocostar Nail Therapy - Value $3.40

This Nail Therapy set is 10 little masks for your fingers that moisturize and treat your nails and cuticles. You have to leave them on for 30 minutes to an hour, so if you ever need to force yourself to put your phone down for a while, these do the job!

Here is what it looks like with the nail therapy masks on your fingers:

birchbox-le-nail-mask

And here is what it looks like when you text that picture to your husband without any warning or context:

FullSizeRender (1)

I've also scared him by walking into a room wearing one of those creepy face sheet masks!

Back to the actual product - it worked well! I used it yesterday, and my cuticles are still looking much better today!

birchbox-LE-why-not-body-shop

The Body Shop Shea Butter Body Scrub - Travel-Size 50 ml Value $4.30

This scrub was interesting! Unlike a lot of scrubs that are oil based, this is shea butter based, so the texture is different. If you are looking for a less oily scrub, I think this is a great fit. It still leaves skin a little moisturized too.

birchbox-LE-why-not-nails

Nails Inc. NailKale Nail Polish in Westbourne Park Road - Value $14

Nails Inc.  NailKale Superfood Base Coat - Value $15

I like the Nails Inc formula, and I absolutely love this shade of polish - I'm very into neutrals lately! (I'm a little skeptical about the benefits of kale added to nail polish, but that's OK!)

birchbox-LE-why-not-socks

Richer Poorer Striped Fuzzy Socks - Value $15

Yay! These remind me of the fuzzy slipper socks from the October 2015 POPSUGAR Must Have box - I'm happy to have another pair! (They have grippy dots on the bottom of the socks for traction, too).

birchbox-LE-why-not-eye-mask

Stephanie Johnson Eye Mask - Value $14

Thanks so subscription boxes I've gotten addicted to eye masks. Now I can't imagine going to sleep without one or my white noise machine!

birchbox-LE-why-not-back

This mask has a foam center, so it stays in place and definitely keeps the light out!

birchbox-LE-why-not-tin

TokyoMilk French Kiss Travel Candle No. 15 - Value $12

The lid design of this candle tin is great:

birchbox-LE-why-not-candle

I'm bad at describing scent, so I'll let Birchbox cover this one:

Inspired by Parisian romance, the sweet floral scent has a je ne sais quoi that keeps us lighting it over and over again. Fresh notes of mandarin, tuberose, gardenia, and vetiver.

I like it!

birchbox-LE-why-not-wei

Wei™ Multitask Multi-Mask Collection - Value $20

I love that Wei mask kits come with a brush! This set includes a Bee Venom Anti-Wrinkle Cream Mask, a Brown Sugar Ready Glow Exfoilating Mask, and a Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask. I decided to try the brown sugar mask first since, 1. It only takes a few minutes, and 2. It is made with sugar. The mask/scrub smells really good, and left my skin feeling super soft - good stuff!

And here is the mystery sample pack I received and the free bonus gift (no longer avaliable):

birchbox-LE-why-not-extras

birchbox-LE-why-not-bracelet

birchbox-LE-why-not-love

This free bracelet with purchase of $35 or more is no longer on the site, but there are several other Free Gift with Purchase coupons available!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $110. I think that's great for a $45 box, especially when you combine it with a 20% off coupon or free bonus gift! I like every item included in this box, and I'm a homebody, so they "Why not...stay in" theme is basically my personal motto!

Ugh I’m sooo disappointed and just need to vent somewhere. I hope everyone really loves their LE box. I ordered mine on the 13th and was scheduled to receive it today but all UPS brought me was a tiny box with my 2 free samples. For some reason on the package it said it weighed 3 lbs and the packing slip listed the LE Box & the samples. It was very strange. I immediately emailed Birchbox and sent them a picture of my packing slip and box and then sulked over looking at the items the box comes with on the website most of the day. I just heard back from them and they’re refunding my purchase and giving me an additional 50 points for my troubles and somehow they magically ran out of stock within these hours. The box won’t even show on their website now! 🙁 So lame. I just wanted my box. It had been awhile since I really treated myself to anything outside of the couple subscriptions I get and I really could have used the pick me up as of late. Oh well. Maybe it’s a sign of some sort…just not sure of what!

I had $20 in points on my account that I’m about to cancel and I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to spend it on so I went with this. Its all stuff I’ll use and I also got a new hair brush (desperately needed) and took advantage of the free vault box promo (which, hold the phone! I didn’t need a promo code for so I was still able to use a 20% off) and paid $24 total. Not a bad use of points – love the BB points system but its time for us to part ways!

Angie

Got mine today! Had enough points to cover box. Everything looks good. I was wondering what those nail masks would look like? Candle smells good and I haven’t lit it yet.

Marissa

Just bought this using 200 points on the account I’m about to cancel 🙁 Stupid new Aces program! I was 100 points away from being an ace in december and then now I am starting over for the new year?? BRING BACK THE OLD PROGRAM where it’s any 12 months consecutive! I won’t tell anyone to join birchbox except in January or feb now because it’s a waste that despite $100 of boxes you still wouldnt be able to be an Ace….

Sarah

Ordered! Excited. 🙂 Used $30 in Birchbox points and picked up some Beauty Protector Detangler and Protector, since I was out – basically got this box free with the 20% off code!

Sara

I wanted this box, but I was 10 points away from $20 off, so I shared my box on FB and Twitter and never received the points for either one. So I didn’t want to pay full price. I really only wanted it for the scrub and the socks lol.

You’ll get points for sharing if you use the app instead of the browser.

I got the bracelet as a bonus and alas, it’s too small for my over-large wrists 🙁 The box is awesome, though!

Maribel:)

My husband tolerates the face masks well so it’s not as fun to scare him 🙂 but my kids freak out ?

Bella

Omg what a great box! Where was I when this came out? I love everything in it and the braclet is bonus? Unbelievable
Liz you crack me up. My husband would of said the same thing. Lol and I’ve been having fun popping out behind the couch with my mask on. Teehee.

Just got my box today…so excited! I used $30 worth of points and ended up getting the box, bracelet, and extras for around $15…score!

Wendy

Lol! It does kind-of look like your burnt all your fingers & you had the nurse text him from the ER for you.
For myself, I’m thinking the wearing the Bee-Venom mask & cuticle masks at the same time & surprising my husband with my loveliness. Nothing like decades of living together to bring out the sexy 😉

Jennifer

I got this box RIGHT when it was announced and I LOVE it. I had $30 in points and used a 20% off coupon so ended up paying like $9 for it! LOVE the smell of the candle so if anyone wants to swap let me know! Also I got a FULL SIZE cargo blush and a Deluxe size Cynthia Rowley eye liner and my free sample pack. SCORE!

I have just received this box, too! I have not opened the nail mask yet because I had no clue what it was going to be! I enjoyed your review! Love the special gift bracelet – it’s perfect for those who have tiny wrist!
Regarding the sleep mask, I can tell you from someone who has severe dry eye problems, the eye doctor has told me that it is very healthy to use the sleep mask when you sleep! Now you have another reason why to wear one! Got to keep your eyes healthy!

Corrine

FYI – if you haven’t used the nail wraps yet I have a tip for you- you can get two uses out of them if you just one set for both hands and save the other set for another time! I just did it and it worked great! Plus I could use one hand to multitask while the other was wrapped 😉 just thought I would share that 😉

Sherry

When I first saw this had came out I figured pass but now that I see the actual box I MUST HAVE IT!!! I should have at least $10 worth of points 🙂

Heathery

Lol @ Eric, but he should be used to it by now! heh heh

The nail masks are to funny! Thank you for that laugh. I scare my kids all the time with the masks on. Lol. I would really like to know about the Bee Venom mask though. Has anyone tried it? Does it really work? I just got the new skincare kit so I could try the cream. Thank you Liz!!!

Sherita

You’re hilarious! I really like this box maybe I will try it.

“I’ve also scared him by walking into a room wearing one of those creepy face sheet masks!”

Done this one, myself. Best part of using a sheet mask, in my opinion.

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

I love scaring my husband with sheet masks! The cats freak out, too.

And you have to do sheet masks when the husband’s at home, because if you’re alone, you know someone will ring the door bell.

Reply ButtonReply

Katie

Yes! I do this too with sheet masks every time. I usually put one while my boyfriend and I are in the computer room/office of our apartment. He’ll be on his desktop and I’ll be across the room on my laptop and I’ll put a sheet mask on and then call his name until he turns around. He jumps every time and says the masks look creepy as hell.

Reply ButtonReply

Ragan

I feel goofy in some sheet masks. Like the ones with animal faces on them. I only get seen by the cats when I am wearing those. (Of course I have such bad eyesight that I need glasses, which I can’t wear with a mask on, so it’s best for me not to go too far.)

...

lol @ the text message! I loved everything about this box. In fact, I’m thinking of picking up a second one as a gift for a family member.

I took a nap with the face mask and it worked well. I like it better than the flimsy one popsugar sent last year. I use a noise machine too.

joy

Hahaha. Love the creepy nail wraps! I like weirding out my husband with all the ridiculous beauty care products, particularly Korean ones, like animal sheet mask, bubble clay masks, adorable Toni Moli packaging, and all the other absurd treatments. He’s a trooper though and actually lets me test masks on him now. Hahahahaha.

Reply ButtonReply

Ragan

I think the thing my fiance really doesn’t like are the foot peels. Because of all the skin that comes off my feet.

Reply ButtonReply

joy

Oops, trouper, not trooper.

Krista

As part of my most recent mystery sample pack, I got two TINY foil packets (seriously, TINY! 1.5 ML each) of Dr. Hauschka Regenerations Serum/Creme. It was my first bigtime sad face from Birchbox. BUT the customer service was SUPER nice and gave me 50 points so overall I’m happy.

Reply ButtonReply

Barbie

Funny! This review made me consider buying more than the Birchbox’s website. I’m reconsider, just for those nail masks! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

I just received this box… and LOVE the theme. Very unique and different items.
