SkinFix Hand Repair Cream – 1 oz Value $3.33

I love this stuff! It’s all natural, fragrance-free, and I think the perfect hand cream. The formula is rich and moisturizing without being greasy.

Pur-Lisse Daily Lip Nourisher with Mango & Shea Butter - FULL SIZE! Value $16

I love that this item alone is worth more than the cost of the box! This lip balm is paraben and petroleum free, and it is high shine! If you are looking for a glossy look without any stickiness, this is perfect!

Kevin Murphy Hydrate-Me Rinse - 1.4 oz Value $5.20

Kevin Murphy Hydrate-Me Wash - 1.4 oz Value $5.20

This shampoo and conditioner set is paraben and sulfate free, made in the USA, and cruelty-free too! I've sampled Kevin Murphy hair products once before thanks to subscription boxes, and they are definitely luxe! These smell wonderful, and I can't wait to try them out. And the bottles are cute too:

Hello Breath Spray - FULL SIZE! Value $3.75

Subscribers will either receive this Mojito Mint, or the Pink Grapefruit Mint or Spearmint flavor. I like the mojito mint flavor! And the design is slick too - just twist the green part to cover the nozzle.

Bvlgari Omnia Paraiba - 5 ml Value $8

I complain about getting perfume vial samples in subscription boxes - BUT! - I love getting perfume minis in boxes! Considering this is only a 2 ml different in sample size, in theory it shouldn't matter that much, but this mini bottle is so much cuter than a sample vial:

One thing to watch for - to open this you pull the top half off. It's just open when you do that, so try not to do with as much force as I did! Here it is open:

allure-beauty-box-feb-2016-perfume-open

allure-beauty-box-feb-2016-serum

Lancôme Visionnaire Nuit Beauty Sleep Perfector - 3 ml Value $5.30

This is a hydrating gel that is lightweight and gives your skin a dewy look after applying it. I absolutely love how my skin felt after putting this on. It is scented with a fragrance (which I normally don't like in facial skincare products) but the scent is very subtle. My only issue with this sample is that it is small - I'll probably only get 2 or 3 uses out of it.

UPDATE: I've used this twice now and already see a noticeable difference in my skin texture and appearance. That rarely happens for me with a skincare product to see a difference so soon. I highly recommend this product, and I think I will be buying the full-size version asap!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $47! I think that's a great value for a $15 box, and I really love all the brands they included this month. I don't always love getting drugstore brands in subscription boxes, but Allure Beauty Box seems to do a great job of singling out drugstore brands I love. (I will take all the SkinFix hand cream I can get!)

I just received the 2nd box and I am in love with the lip balm and thrilled that there are more full size items!!!

My first box from allure and I love it! Was much smaller than I expected, but good things sometimes come in small packages. Only issue I have is that they should have told me I would be charged tax. This plays a role in the amount of the box.

I finally received my first Allure Box. I loved everything in my box! Is it just me or was the box a lot smaller than I had imagined?

Finally got the shipping and confirmation mail.. There was some confusion but gladly it’s sorted out .. 🙂

Alaska and Hawaii get no love. Sigh. It would be helpful if it were disclosed ahead of time where boxes ship AND where they won’t.

Just got my February box! (Dang, mailman put it in the mailbox before I could tell hubby I got it!)
Loving the perfume mini! It’s such an amazing pick me up scent-must be all the citrus and coffee 🙂 Even tho you guys said to be careful opening it, it was hard as hell to open it! I almost gave up lol it’s so pretty to just look at 😛

Signed up on Feb 8th trying to get the Feb box, got a confirmation email on the same day. Still didn’t receive a tracking email as of today, just called the customer service, was told that even though I signed up on Feb 8th, the order was actually delayed for 1 day, so officially I was signed up on the 9th, which is what it shows on my online account. So, I won’t be getting the Feb box by just 1day… Really disappointed… At least they are willing to cancel my order right away and refund me, hope there won’t be any trouble getting my refund. Anyone who has similar situation like me may wanna call the customer service just to make sure… Dang… I would’ve used everything in that great Feb box… 🙁

I just signed up last week and got my box today. This is really fun ! I got my Target box last week. I just want to add I am not impressed with Skinfix products – it seems everything they make has petrolatum as a main ingredient. Vaseline and aloe for the hand cream or vaseline and coconut oil for the lip balm. The parfum is adorable but I almost spilled it trying to wrench the top off. I’m excited about trying the other stuff.

Elizabeth

Ha, I agree with literally everything you said. Regarding SkinFix, I’ve been using the one from the most recent Target box at night before bed and don’t think it’s working any differently than what I used previously (Body Shop lipbalm in the little pot), but it doesn’t not work, if that makes sense. The petroleum is a bit troubling, but I’ll give it another go. Got my (first!) Allure box yesterday and totally DID spill the perfume all over my hand (but luckily most if it remained in the bottle).

Joyce

Oh no. I might have to give in and subscribe to this box. Looks great 🙂

Karla

I ordered mine on 2/6/16 and received the shipping confirmation on 2/12/16. I should be receiving mine by 2/18/16.

I was so excited for the lip balm, then I sat it on my desk and used it all day for the last 2 days and started to feel kind of dry in the lip area…like I wanted to constantly apply it…so I started looking for reviews…and found this:

Kinda sad about it.

Beth

Hi – I love reading your reviews, and have been on the fence about getting the Allure box…..but going to order now.

Another question – what is your absolute favorite Beauty Box to get? I usually get the Target Box, but if you could order just one more Box, what would it be?

thank you 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Thank you so much! And what a tough question! 🙂

If you want just one more beauty box at around the same pricepoint, I would suggest going with Birchbox because their points system is so good. It’s $10 a month, but you get 50 points ($5) back every month if you review the samples, and you can use those points on anything in the Birchbox shop.
If you go with Birchbox, make sure to use the latest coupon: https://www.mysubscriptionaddiction.com/2016/02/birchbox-coupon-mally.html

Hope that helps! 🙂

Beth

That does help – thanks so much for your reply! I will try that one!

Crystal

I also loved the Lancome sample ( just wish it was bigger 🙂
I’m usually not a fragrance fan but I really liked this one reminds me of summer, and loved loved the cute bottle wish birchbox would send perfume samples like this .

Does anyone know if Allure has an incentive for referring friend?? I can’t seem to find my individual referral link or any info on it… I emailed customer service a few days ago, but no response…

Oooouh this box is pretty awesome! Mine hasn’t arrived, but looking forward to it! I’ve been subscribing for about 8 months and have only received one “meh” box. I always use every product and love the presentation and magazine. Allure is one of my favorite sub boxes, possibly my favorite

Reply ButtonReply

trace

I had to reactivate my sub so I can get this box. I love skin products more than makeup. Don’t know why I stopped it anyway. Allure is usually pretty good every month. And months like this make up for not so great months. Even subbed my sis.

Reply ButtonReply

Kay

I just reactivated my account to get this box. I usually get a box and cancel as Allure box is month to month and gives us spoilers so that we can decide. While the value is not on the high-side this month, all the items are useful/practical (no eyeliners two months in a row!) and all the items are new to me. I am into perfume these days and I like the description of the scent, and that is a half of rollerball size. I might transfer it to atomizer to avoid accidents. My favorite discovery from recent Allure box is Avene body oil. I love the scent and how it keeps my skin moist during the dry winter, but gotta save up for full-size bottle…

Anyway, I appreciate Liz’s timely review so that we still have time to order this box in time! It was hard to tell the size of some products from the spoiler.

Me too…thanks, Liz!!

I highly recommend the Lancome. Even though it’s a small sample, I saw results in my first use. Usually skincare doesn’t get instant gratification, but results over time and use. I was super impressed with this mask. The morning after, my skin just looked and felt wonderful. It looked radiant and glowing naturally. I usually don’t buy expensive skincare because I have so, so many products that I shouldn’t buy more, but I’ll end up buying this in the near future with the Allure coupon code.

The only thing is that it is fragranced a bit too much for me. Nothing bad, but it didn’t seem to fade away as quickly as my other products do.

Allure is one of my favorite boxes! Great job??

EMme

I got mine already. I loooove this box. Only thing is the Lancôme is so so small, I feel jipped.

nana

This box is awesome. I’m not going to get it because I’m already getting too many beauty boxes and have more products that I know what to do with, but it is tempting.

DARN LIZ!! Just when I thought I was out, you PULL me back in! I think this box is smart, well rounded and not only full of nice products, but brands I have yet to try which interest me. I cancelled a few ho-hum Subs in December; I was looking for worthy replacements and this fit the bill. So, OK, I’ll take back my DARN and replace it with a THANK YOU!
