About our new every box guarantee (beginning February 2016)
After 9 months & 10 box shipments going out in 2015, we've made a few small tweaks here at Lit-Cube Headquarters going into the NEW YEAR. First is that even though everything inside the boxes will still be a SURPRISE, we are now guaranteeing a READABLE, a WEARABLE, & a SNACKABLE in every box every month. (Starting February 2016) "Wearable" could mean a lot of things, but TEES will be our #1 "wearable" along with more unique wearable items in some boxes. A snackable could also be a large variety of things... cookies, healthier snacks, teas, coffees, etc. Please note: This does NOT mean these will be the *ONLY* things in your boxes, but you can now (Starting in February) expect these three things to be the BASE of your box. BOOM! Your box retail value will always be much higher than your cost. 🙂

What do you think of the theme? Any guesses on the book?

I have to say that most of the boxes I have received have been awesome. I loved the August (Oz), September (Royals) and November (Vampires) boxes in particular! And I actually really liked the skull scarf and wear it all the time, so I guess it is often down to personal preference. Saying that I was pretty disappointed with the December box (especially the book choice) but you can’t please everyone: a lot of other people seem to have liked it! I am looking forward to what the new year brings for litcube!

I was a subscriber, but I recently cancelled. The first boxes were very well done, the books were new publications, and the extras were great. Then came the vampire box with the hideous scarf and some junky filler. I bought two of the mystery boxes on the promise that if you let her know which boxes you had, you would not get duplicates.
I ended up with two more hideous skull scarves, two pie servers and two litcube ornaments.
Then came the December box with yet another pie server and litcube ornament, a grinch shirt, a two in one romance novel, and a tiny bag of dry, stale cookies.
That did it for me. If I wanted a junky popsugar box, I would order one. I signed on for the well-curated novel and themed extras, not junky promotional fillers, stale cookies and a t-shirt. She seems to have lost her jumpstart ear vision.

*Kikckstarter vision, not jumpstart ear vision.

I like the theme as I am a huge Austen fan.
As for the sub changes, if I wanted a T-shirt each month I’d get geek fuel.
Was thinking about getting this sub because I like the goofy reading themed items they were adding to each curation. Now that each month has wearables I will look at the books and see if I can get them elsewhere.

I am a fan of the theme too, the “readable, wearable, snackable ” aspect really makes me want to subscribe. I do not need another keychain,POP,poster, sticker,or “toy”.

For those that receive this box, would you recommend it? I only purchased the first one, through Kickstarter.

I think they are well done boxes. Some of the themes haven’t been my favorite but I usually find something to enjoy. I loved December’s box. I had to cancel my subscription just because I was spending too much money. I plan on resubscribing as soon as I can. Customer service has always been excellent.
