BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review December 2015 - box

BuddhiBox is a monthly subscription box for yogis. Every month, they will send you products to enhance your yoga practice and lifestyle. They only partner with businesses that follow ethical and conscious standards of production. Additionally, a portion of all boxes sold goes to benefit a nonprofit.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review December 2015 - info

The reverse side of the card lists the items in each month’s package, along with retail values.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review December 2015 - cards

BuddhiBox regularly sends two additional cards every month, a vegan recipe and a pose card. This month’s pose is the garland pose – how fitting!

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review December 2015 - hemp

This month BuddhiBox also sent a free sample of hemp hearts. If you have never tried them, they taste like they are really good for you.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review December 2015 - tattoo

Also included was this little temporary tattoo sample from Just Breathe Boutique. Fun!

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review December 2015 - oils

Natural Splendor Curl Conditioning Cream – Value $25

This conditioning cream is a little odd. First, I don’t have tightly coiled hair, and second, my info card said I was supposed to receive a detox scrub. Fortunately my son does have tightly coiled hair, so it won’t go to waste, but still, it’s never thrilling to get something in your box that you can’t use.

Serenity Massage & Body Oil – Value $7.99

OK, on the other hand, I love this massage & body oil. It’s made of wonderful things and it smells great. It absorbs, but not too quickly since it is a massage oil. But the best thing about it (to me) is that proceeds from the sale go to support a hippo sanctuary in Ghana! Yay, hippos!

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review December 2015 - beauty

Ganesh Nail Polish by Raga Varnish – Value $12.50

This is a great winter color for nails! I’m not sure how spiritually stimulating nail polish can be, but since Ganesh is the remover of obstacles, I am willing to give it a try. Plus proceeds from this varnish go to save elephants []! This is an amazing box so far for large mammals!

Bath Bomb by Real Beauty for a Cause – Value $5

Really, what’s not to love about a giant bath bomb? Moreover, proceeds support Connections to Success, an organization that helps families achieve economic independence.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review December 2015 - tea

Solar Plexus Chakra Tea by Buddha Teas – Value $10.99

The solar plexus chakras reigns over the emotions and self-control, so it is of obvious importance to try and keep it in alignment during the holiday season! These seem like really fancy teas; I can’t wait to try one! Moreover, Buddha Teas support Teas for Trees, which plants trees to offset the paper used for tea bags.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review December 2015 - pouch

At first, I thought this was a cool little pouch / coin purse made by Love ROWAN (Rural Orphans & Widows AIDS Network), and it is! But then I finally opened the pouch.

BuddhiBox Subscription Box Review December 2015 - necklace

Antler Pendant in pouch by Love ROWAN – Value $25

This beautiful necklace was inside! This is exactly my style. The link above goes to their etsy shop and is just the necklace, which you can buy for $15. I couldn’t find the pouch, which seems to be woven out of reeds of some kind, but I assume that is where BuddhiBox is getting the additional $10 value from.

Here’s a closer look at the pendant.

The Verdict: I love my BuddhiBox this month! I especially love the amount of serious giving back this box represents! In addition to all the little charities helped by sales of this box, BuddhiBox is donating a portion of the overall box proceeds to Sharing the Gift, an organization that provides yoga and holistic healing classes in childrens’ hospitals! How cool is that?

  1. “If you have never tried them, they taste like they are really good for you.” = Hilarious! So true.

    • That’s what I was thinking hahaha

  2. I don’t like the box contents at all, but you just made me realize I never got my December box. Do you know when they typically ship?
