Bramble Box Props is a monthly subscription service for children that sends play materials centered around a theme, such as post office or detective. I love their new packaging!

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This month's theme is "Pizzeria!" Who doesn't love pizza? The inside lid of every Bramble Box has an info card like the one pictured above, detailing the items inside.

The first props for the pizzeria are the paper goods, and these are printed on nice, heavy stock with a protective film. Clockwise from upper left are play money to cut up and exchange, order forms, and a menu. They have my favorite toppings!

It's the iconic pizzeria red checkerboard print! This measures about 15" x 15", so it could be used a either a tablecloth for a very small table, or a napkin.

And finally, the pizza! Yum! The pizzas are made of a cardboard base, a felt circle for the sauce and a smaller one for the cheese, and lots of felt pepperoni, pappers, and mushrooms.

Verdict: This is the first box we've received from Bramble Box Props in a while, and I think my seven-year-old has outgrown it. It is much better for smaller kids who are still heavily involved in pretend play. Still, I wasn't as impressed with this box as I usually am with boxes from Bramble Box Props. The durability of the materials is a little higher than usual, but it feels a little light this month. What about drinks, for example? On the other hand, it's one of the more affordable childrens' play boxes available.

Yikes, that’s definitely a light box. I would be super irritated if that was all I got for $25. You can get nicer pretend food play kits from etsy artisans for half the price and also get to choose the theme.
