Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review – December 2015

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review December 2015 - box

Wantable Accessories is one of several different subscription boxes offered by Wantable, including Wantable Intimates, Style Edit, Fashion Edit, and Makeup. At the beginning of the subscription, you fill out a fairly in-depth questionnaire to customize what you will receive in your box. Wantable also accepts returns on any item you don’t like, so you get a retail value as well as “your” price that you will be refunded if you return an item.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review December 2015 - preferences

This shows my preferences based on the questionnaire I filled out at the beginning of the subscription. You can change your answers at any time, too. They promise to not send you anything you dislike, and to send more of what you love.

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review December 2015 - earrings

Quinn Earrings Gold – Retail $22 / My Price $11.73

Wantable has a new feature for all of their boxes called your “Stream.” It’s awesome! You can go and see what other people received in their boxes and request those items in your next box(es) is they are still available. I requested these earrings. And now I have them! These are not the kind of earrings that would normally be included for someone with boho sensibilities like mine, but I thought they were gorgeous anyway.

Evie Earrings Gold – Retail $14 / My price $7.47

These earrings are very cute, and I will definitely wear them. Although they do remind me a bit of cheerios floating in rectangle bowls a little…

Jenny Necklace Long Gold – Retail $17 / My Price $9.07

It’s a little hard to tell, but this is a super sparkly piece! It’s also medium-long, which is a good lentgth for me. I love it!

Here’s a closer look at the pendant.

Wantable Accessories Subscription Box Review December 2015 - bracelet

Susan Hinged Bracelet Gold – Retail $22 / My Price $11.73

This bracelet was another request from my “Stream” and I love it! I have bracelets in my “dislike” pile on my preferences, so I guess requesting something from the stream overrides that.

The Verdict: This month’s package from Wantable Accessories was a grand slam for me! I love all four pieces, and will definitely get a lot of use out of them! Plus, the retail value of all four pieces together is $75, which is amazing for a $40 box!

  1. Can anyone please tell me where I can find the stream to pick out things. I can not seem to find it. Thank you

  2. Just ordered my first Wantable Accessories box! So excited and I can’t wait to see what they send. I’ve tried their Intimates boxes before, and always wanted to give the jewelry one a try one day. I think finding out about this “Stream” feature is what put me over – that and apparently they’ve changed their returns policy from how it used to be (I unsubbed to the intimates because I hated the all-or-nothing returns format.)

  3. Where is this stream feature? I’m not seeing it on my account.

    • Same here!

    • They should have emailed you a link. Check your junk mail? If not, contact customer service and I’m sure they will be happy to send it.

      • Found the e-mail with the link! Thanks!

  4. I am interested in getting an accessory box but I am still on the fence… How do you think this compares to the other jewelry/accessories boxes out there?
Also, what confuses me is how they assign a retail value to items. Have you seen them in another online store at the MSRP they quote or is that a number they pull out of thin air? I had the same issue with Your Bijoux and the more upscale Off 5th Ave (I think that’s the name, sorry if I don’t remember correct;y.) I don’t care about the brand name much, I just want something well made, that wont snag clothes, discolour or leave marks on skin (some cheap stuff does, particularly bracelets.) If you could comment on the quality of the pieces as well as the looks that would be great!! Thanks!

    • I tried it and I did not like it want able as a brand has greatly fell in my eyes the makeup line is to expensive with cheAp brands and only four items the accessories are not attractive the site line people do not listen

      • Style edit sorry big fingers

    • I bought an intimates box from Wantable and they sent me a sexy lingerie set. A few weeks later I found the same set in Ross Dress for Less. Ross buys overstock in bulk and discounts it. So I assume Wantable does the same thing and therefore can provide a retail value. I have bought multiple accessory boxes and have kept a lot of things and have sent a lot of things back. I personally thought the statement pieces were better quality than the everyday pieces. A few times I received statement pieces that were too big for my taste, but some were made in such a way that I could take them apart and put them back together in different way. With many of the other jewelry subscription boxes, returning is not even an option and therefore Wantable is risk free if you hate the items that are chosen for you. They let you leave a comment and I had better luck when I requested higher dollar boxes and to send mostly monochromatic color and neutral color.

  5. I LOVE the new ability to request items. I also got a piece that I requested in my accessories box. Thanks for the great review!

    • Thanks Linda! I know, it makes it so much more fun!
