The Ox Box Subscription Review November 2015 - box

The Oxford Trunk is an online boutique that sells very funky ladies' clothing and accessories. I love their style! They have a subscription box that I have been a fan of for some time now, but they recently changed their whole subscription model! It used to be a quarterly subscription, and now it's monthly. Also, you now have a choice among:

* Boho, preppy, girlie, and classic styles
* Large (3-5 items with a retail value of at least $85) or small (1-2 items with a retail value of at least $30, no clothing)
* Pierced ears or non-pierced

This review is of the small boho box for pierced ears.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Ox Box Subscription Review November 2015 - inside

The Subscription: The Ox Box

The Cost: Large boxes are $50 + $10 shipping, small boxes are $15 +$5 shipping

The Products: Items can include (but are not limited to) jewelry, beauty products, clothing, and accessories.

Ships to: US & Canada (for $20 shipping instead of $10)

Ships via: USPS

Just as a note, these are items that The Oxford Trunk does not carry on its website usually, so I don't have any basis for providing links or retail values usually. I have heard that they send a lot of their sample items, which would make sense, but I have no way of knowing if that's true or not.

The Ox Box Subscription Review November 2015 - necklace

I actually don't think it's possible for me to have enough unique tassel necklaces! I love the mixed metal look of this one, and the blue color of the tassel is perfect. This will be a great layering necklace.

The Ox Box Subscription Review November 2015 - lipstick

NYX Matte Lipstick - Value $6

It's lipstick! How odd! The Ox Box website says it may include beauty or even lifestyle items, but this is the first time I've received a beauty item from them. Unfortunately, the color, Street Cred, is too coral for my skin tone, so this will probably go in a gift bag.

The verdict: I love Ox Box! But this was a strange month because of the lipstick. I love the necklace, so I'm not disappointed, but I guess I just wasn't expecting it!

What do you think of Ox Box?

Items can include (but are not limited to) jewelry, beauty products, clothing, and accessories. In addition to two different sized boxes, they also have two different type boxes – “classic” and “boho.”

It’s an intriguing idea, something like Relish. Maybe after the holidays, if I still have any money to spend on something for myself, that is! 🙂

I would be upset if that is what I got after paying $60. I could buy a better necklace for that price

Just realized it was $20, still not a fan…

I would be mad too. What a ripoff.

If anyone gets the “girlie” or “classic” box (or even “preppy”), I’d love to know/see what you got!

I love boho on other people, it just doesn’t work on me! Thanks Anna for the review.
