The packaging on these boxes is always great - definitely ready to gift!

Claire Fantasy Flower Skinny Cuff by Deepa Gurnani - Value $90

There has been a lot of Deepa Gurnani in subscription boxes, and I like it! Like all other pieces I have from this brand, this bracelet is very well made. Here is a closer look at the detail:

And the adjustable beaded tassel:

And here it is on:

I think bracelets can sometimes be tricky in subscription boxes due to wrist size, but this one is easily adjustable!

1951 Maison Francaise Clutch - Value $130

This was the spoiler item for the box, and customers were able to select which color they wanted when signing up. It also has a removable chain strap:

It is made with leather and a 100% cotton red polka dot lining:

I think it was a great idea to use this item as the spoiler and let customers pick out the variant they wanted up front. (This is a quality piece, and something that has been super popular in swaps since it first appeared in the Oui Please box!)

Tatcha Polished Rice Enzyme Powder - Value $65

One of my favorite skincare products! I use this rice powder daily, and it's one of those products I would pay full-price for if I run out, so I'm always thrilled to see it in a subscription box.

Tatcha's packaging is just gorgeous, and their products are gentle and effective = all good things!

luxor-special-edition-box-dec-hope-love

Hope and Love Catch All - Value $130.00

This catchall is made with leather and 14k gold closures. It definitely fits the luxe theme of this box. It is a small size, so it will be good for jewelry, keys, etc. Here it is next to an iPhone 6+ to give a better sense of scale:

luxor-special-edition-box-dec-set

Hello Correspondence Card Set of 8 - Value $29.95

This set is definitely the fanciest card set in my collection. Here is the front side of the hello card:

And the gold edge effect is from a the cream card stock layered over gold card stock. Here is the back of the card:

Graphic Image 2016 Notebook - Value $70

This notebook/planner is made with metallic rose gold leather.

luxor-special-edition-box-dec-pages

It's one of those pieces you want to display on your desk! (It includes month and week-at-a-view appointment pages plus pages for keeping notes on daily activities).

(This was also in the 2014 POPSUGAR Holiday for Her box)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $515. I think that's great for a $175 box, especially when you know a "hero" item up front and can pick the color you want. This box definitely has a luxe feel too - I think almost everything included could also be gifted if you bought it for that purpose.

What do you think of the Luxor “Luxurious Gifts” Box?

I didn’t get this box but I think it was really smart on their part to allow you to chose the Hero item (even if maybe in the end you didn’t like it). I think they set a really great standard for these luxury boxes that it is do-able to customize. Hope this trend rubs off on other boxes!!

I am swapping most of my box, everything is wonderful but not for me. We need to tell the box gods we have plenty of small vanity trays! Also, the purse wasn’t as thick leather as I thought. And I agree with other commenters I wasn’t expecting the white material they used to attach the zipper. I thought it would have been color matched to the purse. I ordered the black but now I think I should have ordered the silver. Anyhoo Im more excited for the popsugar holiday for her!

Hi! I would love to swap with you! My swap ID is mzhitkov!! I would love the planner, clutch and tatcha!!!

I purchased 2 boxes (I still don’t know why!) and my first arrived early last week. My second box shows a tracking number and claims that it was inducted into the postal service on the same day as the first however it hasn’t done anything since then!

The bracelet is beautiful but I don’t need duplicates of everything. I’ll be swapping or selling pretty much the entire second box. I’m not a fan of the Tatcha (I prefer cleansing oils) and how many date books do I need? Customer service did respond promptly but they have no idea what is causing the delay.

Are you swapping the clutch as well? Looking to get my hands on one for the past year!!

Really like the necklace! And I’m loving Deepa Gurnani’s headband from the PS November box – it gives me a very “Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl” vibe when I wear it, LOL! Probably will wear her necklace from the PS Fall LE box to a holiday party soon since it’s so sparkly. Such cute stuff! 🙂

Oops, at the beginning, I meant I really like the bracelet! I gotta remember to proofread, LOL! 🙂

I so wish the Holiday for Her (Popsugar) had included another one of these planners…. Or a planner in general! These really are beautiful! Not to mention, this is the perfect time of year to receive one, since everyone needs one for the coming year.

I like everything in this box. I got the silver clutch, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The only thing I don’t think I’ll keep is the Tatcha, and that’s only because I have both a sample size and full size that I haven’t used yet. I think more boxes should send bracelets that are fully adjustable like this — it takes away the whole too big/too small problem.

This box looks beautiful and luxe, but… I can’t help but think nearly everything in it looks familiar from popsugar special edition boxes, especially a leather catchall tray and the planner. I’ll be interested to see what is in store for their next special edition box.

I loved this box, everything feels luxe. It was expensive but it contains 4 items made from leather (clutch, catchall, planner, and bracelet)…you never see that. (Sorry vegans, but I love leather) This box is the standard for a luxury box from here on out. Popsugar should take note. Well done Luxor.

wasnt too impressed with the 1951 clutch. Didn’t live up to the hype.
I love the bracelet. It may be my favorite jewelry piece from a subscription box so far!
The notecards are super luxe. I’m a fan of Luxor box stationary items. I also enjoyed the idea catchers from a few boxes ago. This and RZ are my two favorite boxes

i totally agree with you. it was much smaller than i anticipated. the gold chain doesn’t match the gold zipper color and the fact the zipper has a white tape makes it look cheap. i am not too please with this bag. i prefer Gigi NY – all their details are impeccable from the zipper to inside of the bag workmanship.

I should be receiving mine in the mail soon! I’m interested in swapping and/or selling a few items if others are interested.

I wont use the planner if you are still looking for one.

I would love to buy the planner and bracelet….

I would love to sell the planner and bracelet. Let me know your email.

I really want the Tatch powder and the 2016 planner. I thought maybe I’d buy a box since I missed out, but they are all asking $500 on ebay. Crazy considering they paid $175. Oh well. I would like to buy the powder and planner, but I guess that won’t happen.

Ruby

I don’t understand this. I see similar expectations when looking for swaps and reading some of the comments. Sometimes people want a whole lot for relatively little…then list it for obscene amounts? Are people purchasing entire boxes for the claimed retail value? The other day someone offered to swap a $45 item, only in exchange for an $80 item. Of course retail value isn’t everything, but honestly, if I want the $45 item that badly I’ll buy it outright.

Reply ButtonReply

Monica

Yes, thank you!!! People are requesting a ludicrious retail value in return for what I am requesting. Call me crazy but I’m not swapping 3 items from Luxor LE for 2 of your items from a monthly Popugar Must Have…..could have purchased that $40 box on my own.

Leah

Seriously, Angela? I bought two boxes (because I wanted two clutches) but I am planning on putting up the rest of the second box on ebay. I wouldn’t even think to ask that much. I haven’t decided if I want to put it up as a unit or as individual pieces….

Reply ButtonReply

hKC

Angela – what’s your email? I may want to sell both items.

Tamara

If they had offered the clutch in the polka dot, I would have pounced on this box.

As it is, it’s just as well that I didn’t. I think the things they included are really nice. And I think this is their best LE box so far. But the only things I really want are the bracelet and cards and I’ve swapped for them.

$130 for that catch-all is nuts. I very rarely have a problem with the stated RV of products in sub boxes, but this time… Nope. Not buying it. It looks really nice and I’m sure it’s high quality. $70 seems more appropriate, and even that is generous, I think.

Reply ButtonReply

Leah

I like everything in the box, but $175 was still a lot of money. Would I do it again? I’m not sure.

I’m sure I’m missing something obvious, but I can’t figure out how to open the bracelet. I’m afraid of tugging too much. Can anyone provide very detailed instructions for me?

Reply ButtonReply

Leah

Never mind, I finally figured it out (I think?). I’m still not sure about it because I think the strings and the fringe are going to be annoying hanging down from my wrist.

Reply ButtonReply

Gabbi

With adjustable bracelets like this one, I always take the ends and weave them back up in with the bracelet string that’s on my wrist, if that makes sense. Then you can tuck the ends away under the beaded part or at least they’ll be woven up so they won’t dangle and be annoying.

Bish

It works best if you pull both ends at once. I agree that the tassels might get annoying but I’d much rather have this than another clunky bangle. It’s a good once size fits most jewelry item, and the pictures never seem to capture it’s beauty.
