globein-dec-2015-letter

This box comes with an info booklet – the first page is a letter explaining the theme. Inside each maker and their product is detailed. There’s also details about the fair trade practices, community support initiatives, etc. – it is a feel-good read!

globein-dec-2015-runner

Hand-dyed Batik Table Runner by Della (Retail $35).

This piece is 100% cotton and it measures about 13" by 48" - here is the flip side:

I like that it is two sided, and the colors are muted so I think they should work with various decors.

globein-dec-2015-tribe-alive

Beaded Necklace by Tribe Alive (Retail $42).

This piece works as a necklace or a wrapped bracelet. Here is a closer look at the beads:

And here it is on:

I'm all about black and gold, so this piece is perfect for me. (Also - I didn't know Tribe Alive had a subscription box!)

globein-dec-2015-envelopes

A set of two Upcycled Greeting Cards from Malawi (Retail $8). Colors will vary.

I saw the spoilers for these cards, so I knew to expect vibrant colors and patterns, but I didn't realize these cards are made from repurposed fabrics! The textures of these cards are such a unique surprise!

globein-dec-2015-chocolate

Organic Dark Chocolate Caramel Crunch with Sea Salt from Equal Exchange (Retail $3.75).

This chocolate has crunchy caramel bits throughout, and it is organic and fair trade!

globein-dec-2015-basket

Palm Leaf Basket – Value $12

Each box comes with some of the contents packaged in a palm leaf basket. I'm happy to see we're back to baskets with lids!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $101. I think that's great for a subscription box that focuses on fair trade and giving back. And GlobeIn is really impressing me with their themes and curation each month! I think my favorite pieces this month are the necklace/bracelet and the tablerunner.

What do you think of the December 2015 GlobeIn Artisan box? Which item are most excited about?

I really hope mine gets here before Christmas! I’d love to have that runner on my Christmas table. I can see myself wearing the necklace while munching on the chocolate. I also like the idea of framing the cards, but I may use them for little notes to some of my best friends. Just a little something special!

I would love to swap with someone for the table runner if anyone doesn’t want it!

This will be my first Globe In and I’m excited to get it!! I have and use many runners so that’s a total win for me. The cards look so beautiful, you could almost have them framed.

Love the cards, the chocolate will be a stocking stuffer, but the necklace and runner are not for me. Hopefully fellow swappers will be interested.

I got the Tribe Alive subscription box. There was a bracelet, a snood, a headband, and a foldover clutch. (They were from 4 different brands). I hope you add the next box to your review page 🙂 I love supporting fair trade artisans!
