Check out our Try The World reviews to learn more about this subscription. (And I recommend reading the comments as well - I know some readers had issues in the past with customer care).

I got my box today and am very impressed! All of the products were well in date for those of you that were wondering if it was old stock. I really like the variety of products and the packaging is so nice!

Liz if you keep posting these boxes I’m not going to have any money left for secret Santa!

Just ordered this for my moms husband for Christmas. I think he will love it! PS the whole concept of this box on an everyday basis is that the months go in a specific order, so I wouldn’t be concerned about old product. It’s part of their program so I’m sure they refresh it as new orders come in.

*have NOT subscribed…..ie I got the Paris box months and months ago and here they are sending it out again— so it’s old stock

Kim

Also how old are these boxes…..that Paris box has to be months old as I have subscribed to them in at least 6 months…..

Hey Kim, the Paris Box is a box we consistently have available. The contents are always changing as we work with new French brands.

Ok, I’ll be the guinea pig. Anything from Spain has my attention, especially if it includes turron. I seriously reconsidered after reading all the shipping and CS issues from last year. But then I checked Yelp and it seems like in the last few months the kinks have been worked out. I want to believe that’s true, so I ordered the Black Friday deal. (Thanks, Liz.) I’ll post again when/if they arrive to let readers know how it worked out.

Update: Received all 3 boxes from the black friday deal in one big package today. No issues at all, except that I never received a shipping notification, so it was a surprise arrival by UPS. All items are high quality, interesting, and fresh. I look forward to trying all of them, not a swap item in the bunch. I find the jasmine jam from Spain and the Acai sauce from Brazil especially intriguing. And the mix of types of items is smart – some condiments, some snacks, some olive oil, some seasoning, some tea, etc. So we’re not overloaded on one type of thing, allowing for long-term subbing. And the packaging was the best I’ve seen of any box – nothing broke, and the boxes are heavy duty and re-gift-worthy. I like it. Good job, Try the World.

I had this subscription for months and never had any issues at all. I think in the beginning there may have been some issues (before I joined) but I would be very surprised if any of you have any problems with this sub.

Tamara

Arg! I’ve wanted to try this sub for months, but the nightmare stories keep me away. I love the idea, though and would subscribe in an instant if they had a good reputation!

Hey Tamara, we grew a little bit too fast back then but we have grown and ready to take on all orders! We’ll be here to help!

I was given thus subscription as a gift. After much hassle the box arrived a month after my birthday. BUT I adore it. I am adventurous with food yet there were goodies I’d never tried. Some items are not even for sale in America. I’ve actually written the companies to try to get the products.
So, maybe expect delays at first. I would order early and keep an eye on them. It seems they don’t process some orders until you prod them.
I love this product so much that I’m taking advantage of this black Friday deal. I can always gift any doubles I don’t love.
Awww who am I kidding, I’m chowing down on it all.

Oh dear. I signed up for this offer at work this morning. MSA is blocked in my office, so I didn’t see any of the comments beforehand. Hopefully I have a better experience than some of the commenters, because I really like the idea of this sub.

I feel just like Mary Jane! I’m glad this blog is here to warn us from what seem likely to be nightmarish box experiences.

Hey Nana, we had a smaller team back then so it made it difficult we went got so many orders. But I can assure you, we have a larger and faster responding team now, if you need anything let us know 🙂

I can vouch for this! I ordered the Spain box and got a free Paris box – or the other way around – and canceling was easy and quick! Plus they were super nice. 🙂 For three boxes, this is a great deal, and I can’t wait for mine!

Jen

I’ve tried this once before and it comes in a beautifully presented box. i didn’t have any problems with customer service. Its definitely worth it to get 3 of these boxes for $40 – but I’ll cancel after that. I think I’ll give the Parisian box to my mom. She loves all things Paris. And I’ll take some of the other foods to holiday gatherings to share.
