terra-bella-box-oct-2015-whipped

Live Beautifully Pumpkin & Vanilla Whipped Lip Butter - FULL SIZE! Value $5

I love the fall scent of this whipped lip butter! It adds just a little sheen, and the pumpkin spice flavor is made from actual natural flavors and essential oils!

This whipped butter needs to be warmed up with your skin to melt, so I think I will use it as a cuticle cream instead of a lip butter.

terra-bella-box-oct-2015-mask

Bare Bones Toner - FULL SIZE! Value $10

This is made with just organic lemon juice and witch hazel, so it smells really good! (And it is vegan). Also, I'm guessing they picked this brand for the October box on purpose, and I'm digging the Halloween/Fall vibe of this box!

Batty's Bath Dead Sea Mud Mask - FULL SIZE! Value $10

This mask is organic and vegan! It's a mask that takes 30 min to an hour, though, so I haven't tried it yet.

terra-bella-box-oct-2015-soap

Soap Cauldron Gravenstein Apple & Clover Bar - Value $3.25

I love this brand! (Their Sweet Orange and Coconut Soap Bar is one of my favorite subscription box discoveries!)  And now I really want to buy their Harvest Pumpkin & Cinnamon bar! But, back to the soap at hand! This is a perfect fall apple scent. (It's made with apple powder and Gravenstein Apple extract, so I'm not surprised!)

terra-bella-box-oct-2015-eyeshadow

Blackbird Cosmetics Loose Luxury Eyeshadow in Immortals - FULL SIZE! Value $6.50

Hex Potions Loose Mineral Eyeshadow in Apparition -  FULL SIZE! Value $8

These eyeshadows are both super pigmented! The Immortals shade is matte, and the Apparition shade has a mermaid shimmer! Both swatched below:

Verdict: This box has a value of about $42.75. This is a little more than the value of the September box. (I appreciate the improvement!), but I still expect values for a $37.95 beauty box to be a little higher. Aside from value, I'm very impressed with the curation this month (love the fall/Halloween themes!), and I discovered a few new brands too!

I would recommend this box if you are looking for a well-curated natural beauty box, but not if you are looking for a high-value box.

This is the best October box I’ve seen (aside from Scratch’s sub) this year! It’s a great mix of fall and Halloween which are two of my favorite times of the year. And although I agree at that price I expect more value, I’m still gonna get it because this curation is right up my alley! Perfect box is perfect lol.

Do you happen to know — if I subscribe today, will I get Octobers box? Their site is still showing Septembers box.

Barbara

I sent them an email with that question yesterday and the answer was that orders up until 10/19 or until they run out will receive the Oct box…after the 19th it will be the Nov box.

I have liked both boxes so far, and I was happy to see the Live Beautifully Whipped Lip Butter– I have ordered from them on the past and they offer so many “delicious” scents/flavors!

So their lip butters are really good? I was reading this post and immediately decided that I needed the pumpkin one!

I love the Halloween / Fall theme to this box! Its so cute without being too over the top Halloween-y. Looks like it has some great products in it too!

I really, really liked everything in this box. While the value isn’t super high, the curation and the new brands make up for it, IMO, especially for a new box.
