Vanessa!!

it’s odd, dermstore doesn’t usually take much time with shipping..i’ve always gotten my box a few days after but i bought the box on the 28th and it’s now the 9th and haven’t gotten my box yet! anyone has trouble with that?

Liz, getting this special deal say something about your MSA website! It is great. I broke down and ordered one yesterday and just cancelled the auto-fill today via chat. I am much more into skincare than makeup, so this is a good sub for me, but it is a bit of gamble ordering without the spoiler. I won’t be using the hair growth product as it expires soon and feels awkward giving it to someone… It is a shame this product is the most expensive item in the box. I don’t think I can pull off the eye shadow as my make up is very basic and neutral colors. Might try the blue eyeliner… I am excited to try everything else.

Hey, I’m interested in trying this $5 promo however as some of you have noted it is getting close to when they charge for the November box. I don’t want to get charged twice and would like to get the box on promo – can any frequent subscribers tell me when the autocharge goes through?

I did get this box last month and I really liked it- I will get it again. I liked that it wasn’t makeup – which at this point I have a ton of , but products I really wanted to try. I recommend it.

I tried to use this code but get a message that the item in my cart is not eligible. I added the monthly subscription to my cart….any thoughts as to why? Thanks

Jill

Worked for me just now.

Hm, I just tried it and it is still working for me. Any chance you added the one-time-purchase box ($34.95) to your cart instead of the monthly box?

Five bucks was too tempting to pass up.. I went for it. This will be my only box that supposedly concentrates on skin and hair items so I’m looking forward to trying a couple despite some comments here that are tempering my expectations! I have Birchbox and Ipsy and I think it’s time to cancel Ipsy.. it really is aimed at a much younger crowd and there is truly a saturation level for makeup pouches, eye pencils and pink lip gloss in my life! Looking forward to trying more ‘grown up’ items in BeautyFix. I can’t imagine giving up Birchbox, it’s still my favorite!

Kristin

I agree about Ipsy just cashed in all my points so after I get billed for November I am canceling! I can’t even give away all the makeup bags. Enjoyed for a while but lately very disappointing. May subscribe again sometime in the future.

Karen

I agree withe the comment about ipsy while it is very cute I do think it’s aimed at the younger crowd which is great but I am really enjoying Birchbox and that is for all ages. So deciding what to do. I am wondering how easy it is to cancel Beautyfix if you have to call if I don’t care for it. It seems that when you have to call to call to cancel companies tend to give you a hard time. Has anyone tried to cancel and did they give you a hard time?

Thanks,

Karen

Claudia

CANCELLED! It was one thing when I was paying nearly $30 a month and new subscribers were paying $15. For the most part I did enjoy the introduction to items I never would have purchased before but their lack of loyalty to monthly subscribers has totally turned me off! I’ll sign up again if the box is worth it …

Claudia

That post didn’t come up quite right, LOL. I don’t want to pay double the price simply because I’m too lazy to cancel and resign each month. I’ll watch the reviews and decide from there …

Alice

what is the cutoff for November? I like this box, but it needs to be consistently priced around the 10-15 price point. but I’m not going to turn it down for $5…

I unsubscribed after paying full price for this box full of not for resale samples & the highest value product being a hair regrowth system they needed to move out before expiration. It’s like they have no shame. Total rip-off & huge disappoint. What a joke, especially for the price. And people complain about Glossy & others. This box is laughable in comparison & at a higher price point. $10 Birchbox blows them out of the water, easily.

I just signed up for the $5 deal and did the online chat to cancel November’s shipment. They were really helpful and said its too early to cancel since I just signed up and my subscription isn’t yet showing in their system, but to try again tomorrow and they can do it then. So excited to get this box for just $5!

I subbed for the last $5 first month deal and that month was a total bust. I felt really sorry for those who were already subscribed since they paid $24 for essentially a box of “not for individual sale/resale” samples. Now that I’m a regular subscriber I’ll be highly irritated if they decide to offset the cost of the $5 promo by cheaping out on the products again. And if this promo is going to be a recurring them I can’t see why there would be any benefit to staying subbed monthly. I’ll withhold judgment until I receive my next box but if it’s a bunch of cheap freebies and foils I’ll definitely cancel and just resub if I like spoilers AND there’s a promo.

how long is the code good for, I want to sign up after next months billing cycle. I dont want to risk it. thanks for the tip! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

My understanding is that there are a limited amount of redemptions available for this code, and once that number is met, the code will expire. So, unfortunately I don’t have a specific expiration date to share. Sorry!

It’s worked for me! Still good 10/29 at 3:00 Eastern.

Carmen

I called and cancelled a few days ago. I’m just overloaded with skin care products and the box was getting less and less exciting for me . I’ll keep my eye on this box and will resubscribe if they pick it up and add some different and exciting products .

I already emailed to cancel and I think someone was able to do via chat also. It seems like they can still process your order and your cancel 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Katherine

I just signed up for the deal as well! Cant beat 5 bucks! Does anyone know when they bill your account for the next month? Is it on the 1st of each month? Would like to cancel before they bill next month’s.

Reply ButtonReply

Khaleesi142

I just subbed and will cancel promptly by emailing them like I did last time. I like their curation, but there’s definitely been a lack of consistency. Mostly why sub for full price when you can get it for half or $5? I wish sub boxes would figure out to reward member loyalty vs bringing in new customers. I like deals too but only because it outweighs keeping the sub all year long.

Monica

I just cancelled. For the price point (nearly $30 after tax) this box just is not a win for me anymore. I hope they lure me back!

Moe

I thought getting monoxidil in a box was kind of odd. I can’t use it and wouldn’t feel comfortable giving to a friend.

Reply ButtonReply

acidofoliate

Sigh. This run of half price boxes and now this: I’m feeling like suckers for paying $24 month after month.

heat7918

Ditto! And I;ve actually really liked all the boxes but I’d rather not know about all these half price and $5 deals… ugh.

Misha

When does the coupon expire?

And I’m also getting another October box; I loved everything in it except for the hair regrowth treatment. Getting it for $5 is an absolute steal. Thanks, Liz!

Reply ButtonReply

Crystal

I picked one up. You cannot beat $5 and I loved this past box!

I concur. Liz does rock. 🙂

I just ordered a box. Thanks for the promo code!

You can email them and cancel. That’s what I did. The representative got back to me the same day.

Reply ButtonReply

nana

Hmm, this looks great but given that it’s already Oct. 28th and that you need to call to cancel, it seems unlikely you’d be able to order this box and cancel before being charged full price for the November box. That wouldn’t be too bad if Beauty Fix’s boxes hadn’t gone downhill big time. I would not have paid $25 for the October box, and I wouldn’t pay that much for the November box without seeing what’s in it.

Reply ButtonReply

Max

Yes, it’s cutting it close to the auto-billing for November’s box. It is a great deal (and I do feel like a sucker for paying much more for this box) but I’m afraid the $24.95 will be processed before there is time to cancel. For me, the regular price is too high for a box that is a gamble until I can see the contents.

Honestly having to call to cancel, makes me less likely to pick this box up again. Their customer service is nice but having to call every time you need to cancel. If they had a system online where it was easy to cancel, would give them another chance.

Jessica

I fid an online chat and canceled that way.

nelliebelle1197

I can’t decide whether to cancel this. BeautyFix/Blush/BeautyFix and I have been through so much together…. maybe it is time to cancel and move on something new….
