Bulu Box Weight Loss Subscription Review + Coupon: Sept 2015

Bulu Box is a monthly fitness and weight loss subscription box. Their original Bulu Box is focused more on fitness and supplements, and they also have a WeightLoss box that features healthy products and diet supplements. This review is of the Weight Loss Bulu Box.

Bulu Box sent me this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The best part of this subscription in my opinion is their rewards system. You get $5 credit to use in the Bulu Box shop for reviewing the items in the box each month. When you sign up for a subscription with a coupon, the box is $5 or less a month, so basically you are getting the samples for free. (This, of course, is only a good deal if you want to buy items in their shop, though!)

The Subscription Box: Bulu Box

The Cost: $10 (Less than $5 a box with the annual subscription and coupon code!)

COUPON: Use code MYSUB799 to get $2 off forever! For the lifetime of your subscription, every box will be $7.99!

The Products: Each box contains 4 to 5 premium weight loss items such as vitamin and supplement samples, fitness gear and healthy eating tools.

Check out my Bulu Box reviews and the Fitness Subscription Box Directory!

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.

Nutrigold Triglyceride Omega-3 Gold Fish Oil Supplement – 60 Softgels Value $17

I’m always impressed when Bulu Box sends full-size vitamins/supplements! One thing I’ve noticed with these full-size items is that the expiration date is usually closer than if you had actually purchased the full-size item. In this case, the expiration date for these fish oil supplements is January 2016. The serving size is 2 soft gels a day, so we’ll be able to use this well before it expires, but I thought it was something worth mentioning. (Especially something to look for if you are swapping!)

Good to know for allergies: these are free of egg, gluten, milk, peanut and shellfish. (And they are non-GMO and free of artificial ingredients!) And they get excellent reviews on Amazon!

Clean Energy Patch – Value $3

This patch is made with caffeine, guarana, and cacao. I don’t run marathons so I don’t need the energy for that, but I’m sticking this in our glove compartment in case we ever need to be more alert for a road trip!

Caveman Nutrition Bar in Dark Chocolate Cherry Nut – (Sample sized bar) Value $1

This bar is “paleo inspired,” but I’m guessing since it has added brown rice syrup and evaporated cane syrup it won’t work for strict paleo dieters. I avoid dairy and gluten in my diet, and this bar works for me! It’s kind of like a healthier Kudos bar. (My college years snack of choice!)

Ryte Rejuv (1 serving) – Value $2

This supplement is meant to be taken at night for the following benefits: Rest, Relaxation, Mood Support, Stress Relief, Cellular Health, Natural Cleansing, Metabolic Boost and Evening Appetite Control.

360Stim (2 servings) – Value $1.50

This is an energy and focus supplement (the main ingredient is caffeine).

Verdict: This box has a value of about $24. That’s high for a Bulu Box. I would say the typical value is usually around $7-10.

I think even that lower value is OK if you use the 50% off coupon and get this box for $5 or less, and you take advantage of their points system.

(With the 50% off coupon you can get your monthly box for $5 (or less with an annual subscription), and then you get $1 to spend in the Bulu shop for every product you review. So this box would cost you $5 and you’d get $5 back in the shop).

I would recommend this subscription if you would buy things from Bulu Box’s shop – with the Bulu Box points it basically makes the subscription a free bonus and a way to try out a few new products each month.

  1. Sad I won’t be getting this box but I signed up anyway. I need a good supplement box

  2. I was super happy with the fish oil supplement and my husband loved the caveman bar…but…everything else I got was an energy supplement, which I cannot have and have it listed on my profile. :-/

  3. What a great idea about putting the patch in the car!! And don’t forget that you get points for the things you buy in the shop, even when you are using points to purchase those things!
