I got my October French box, but did not get the bonus free box and it’s been a week. I understand it ships separately, but how long does the follow up box take?

I haven’t received my free box either. I sent customer service an email tonight.

So, the holiday box is $40 and has all full size products. I take that to mean: a nail polish, an eye liner, and a lip gloss for all…..

strange, I purchased the Holiday box for only $30

I felt the same way but I carefully read the terms and conditions and found that if I order before the 14th of the month and and cancel before, they will not charge for the following month’s box. I really wanted the October box because it was so cute so I ordered and canceled. Now that they’re offering 3 boxes for the price of 2, I’m floundering. I wouldn’t mind another October box but I know I will get charged automatically for November though I want to see some spoilers first :/

wait am i reading correctly?
1. You can only get free box if you do a three or more month subscription?
2. There is a holiday box? Any spoilers?

You can get it for the monthly (1 month) subscription but because it’s after the 14th of the month (when they bill for the following month) you will essentially get charged for October and November boxes and get a free (past edition) box.

I just ordered mine. Hopefully it’s good. I’ve been wanting to give them a try so this was a good opportunity to do so. I won’t cancel my subscription right after receiving my boxes, unless they send me crappy stuff:) I liked your box Liz. ?

I signed up for this deal a few months ago, was charged for one 8/29, then 9/10 again, received both the boxes. Noted last night that my CC was charged for another $21. around the first of October, supposed to be the free one??? hmmmmm

I am not a subscriber to this box, but I am interested in trying French items, but after reading some of the October box review comments, here is what I found… They send out variety of boxes, they charge immediately for the next month (so I am assuming as soon as I order October box, I get charged for November?) and poor customer service. And we don’t know which “past” box we are getting… if you want to do one time as a gift, the price is $25 not $21. Mmmm.
Glossybox has, in my experience, the worst customer service ever! I wanted to use the 25% off Holiday box code but I can’t access it with the link bit.ly/glossy_secret_sale. Over the past one and a half weeks I’ve sent them several e-mails and so far no one has bothered to reply. I called the number and get an automated reply that says high volume call and to e-mail them instead.
I don’t know if I like their box enough to put up with crappy CS. Ggrr.

I have found that the only way to get a response is to send a Facebook message. It seems that messages sent via email or the help form never reach them….which is a tad ridiculous as it has been a problem for years now! However, if you send a FB message you will get a response within 48 hours, and once you actually have engaged a person in conversation, their customer service seems to work hard to please.

I’ve had the same experience! And as I said, not sure how lucky I am, but I got straight through to customer service number twice!
Sara
I called twice yesterday (during the day day between 11-1 eastern) & got through immediately, no hold. Also, I’ve messaged them 3x through Facebook & gotten a response within 24 hrs. I would definitely try Facebook!

Here’s the link for the holiday box 😉 http://experience.glossybox.com/2015_holidays_limited_edition_pre-sale/
I personally haven’t gotten it (yet) but I am planning to get it soon.
For me the support hasn’t been great either but they do tend to reply in 2-3 days. I even asked a second question a couple times in the email and they replied to it sooner than before!
Oh and I don’t think I have ever gotten through to them on the phone…
I have a 12 month sub w/ them and while I love/hate it at times I prob won’t resub in march due to their quizzes not helping what you get very much(getting bland colors vs bright like I asked for or bad colors for my complexion etc)

Thanks for posting the link- it looks like a good holiday box but it says now the pre sale is sold out. Tho one can get on a mailing list if they produce more, I am guessing it will go back on sale at some point to the public. But still appreciate the link!

They don’t edit their quizzes very well, either. One time under the list of occupations (i.e., student, homemaker, employed, etc.), it said “Option 2.” And another time they asked me about the flavor of nail polish.

This is why I avoid them (other than their blatant partnering with all things L’Oreal) – every time I’ve bought a box I wait for weeks and finally have to email them and get a “oh we shipped that today” response (with a shipping time several hours after I sent the email).

I can’t help but laugh because I placed an order today for the October Glossybox about an hour before this post!
