Each box comes with a fold out sheet detailing the items included and it usually has tips on how to one or more of the items. This month talked about flavor details of coffee beans.

Manual Burr Grinder - Value $26 on Amazon

This box focused on teaching, and supplying you, with the basics of brewing a freshly ground cup of coffee. First up, and manual burr grinder. I must saying, I was pleasantly surprised by the grinder - in a long ago Bespoke post box we had received a similar grinder, and the grinding was extremely difficult. This one had a nice, smooth, grind - so I was immediately happy about that, and it made step one a breeze.

Dapper & Wise's Fazenda Sao Silvertre coffee beans - 6 oz bag - Value $7

I guessed this value based on the cost of a 12 oz, Brazilian, bag of beans that cost $14. This is the bean I used to brew my first cup of hand ground, pressed coffee, and it's delicious! I drink my coffee black, so I really can't stand when a coffee is watered down - this bean hit the spot. If you want to get more from Dapper & Wise, they also have a coffee bean subscription option!

bespoke-post-roast-presse

Presse Coffee Maker - Value $30 on Amazon

This is my new favorite toy. This is an all-in-one french press + mug, and it's glorious. If you're like me, and brewing coffee for one, this is a really nice option for a french press.

bespoke-post-roast-parts

It's doubled walled, with the inside wall containing a strainer at the bottom to push the beans to the bottom of the mug when you're ready to start drinking your coffee.

Here's a quick look at the strainer.

It really couldn't be easier. Instructions start with 4 tablespoons of ground coffee. This is where the Presse Coffee Maker got it right again - pull out the inner wall, flip it over, the there is a 4 tablespoon cup on the bottom to fill up. Once full, drop it into the main canister and fill it with boiling water. Sit 3 minutes, press down the inner wall/strainer, pop on the lid and get going!

The lid is a nice, flexible but thick, plastic.

I'm drinking my first brew right now, and I'm loving this little system!

Verdict: For me, Bespoke Post is the best men's lifestyle subscription out there. Month-to-month I'm always blown away by the high-quality items included and the value I'm get for my cost. This box definitely exceeded my expectations. I wasn't too excited when picking this as a theme this month, but I'm so glad that I did, because I absolutely love it!

there’s actually a dual-gender version that just launched that’s pretty cool (minimalism.co)

This was the first month of Bespoke Post for my husband. He selected the Ember (camping stove and other extras) box. He is thrilled!

Great review! Eric, with the Presse, do you have to drink the coffee fairly quickly? Because won’t it get stronger/more bitter the longer you leave it?

Eric

I let it sit about 10-15 minutes before I started drinking it. I actually hadn’t finished it, and took a sip today – and it’s surprisingly not bitter!

Good to know!

I wish we had a female version of bespoke post, with high value few-item themed boxes that are non-beauty. I subscribe to bespoke post but don’t like the masculine scarves, socks, bags, or shave stuff. Maybe we need to start one of our own.

I’d love a women’s box like this. The thing that makes this different from the boxes out there is that we know what we’re getting. All the other women-themed boxes are surprises. The only thing that seems to be on a similar model is Hampton Roads but that’s only cooking things.

I get this for my hubby…or so he thinks. Lol There are several out there like this for women. Popsugar, 5th Avenue Style, Wantable, etc. I think this just seems cooler because it has things we don’t see in those boxes because they are geared to guys. But a lot of their boxes are unisex. This one for example. Also, I loved the copper mugs and salt block.
