Hello Kim,

You can apply the RueLala voucher at any time before expiration. Look out for our October GLOSSYBOX. It will be a special edition box!

Liz,
Is the 1-month subscription for $15 , $15 each month? or just the first month and the remaining months $21?

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

It would just be for the first month. If you don’t cancel your subscription, the next month you would be charged $21. Hope that helps clarify!

Don’t do it unless u want 2 months worth! They will charge u for the 2nd month prior to receiving 1st and customer service will not care about your complaint. Did it last time and got burned.

They do actually note on the voucher that you need to cancel by the 14th of the prior month in order to not be charged for the following.

Myra

Yes, that happened to me too.

Hello there Vanessa,

You can use the voucher for a October box. Be sure to sign up as of October 1, otherwise you will receive duplicate September boxes.

I bought the last deal Rue La La had (one month for $15) and struggled to use it before it expired. I finally redeemed for September (it expired the 15th) and cancelled immediately as I definitely don’t want to be billed further after seeing their previous box offerings. September’s box looked usable after viewing the MSA spoilers but I definitely won’t purchase again in the future. As much as I wanted to like this box the value isn’t there for me. I’m definitely more of an Ipsy/Birchbox/FabFitFun/BoxofStyle gal.

Thanks I got one! I’m hoping there will be a great spoiler for a box before the holidays!

Ok, so I literally just bought via RueLaLa, signed up and am getting the September box, then emailed them immediately to cancel for October since tonight at 11:59pm is the deadline for October billing. I already have an email back that my subscription has been cancelled and that I wont be billed for October. They got back to be within a couple of hours. Excited to get my one and only box…LOL!

Ooh thanks for posting! Also thx for u including the cancellation jargon so we know what we’re getting into if we decide to cancel! 🙂

Uhg. I bought the last one, got two super disappointing boxes and then cancelled–except in spite of receiving a confirmation email, they didn’t actual cancel my account. “Luckily” I’d replaced my debit card at the same time, so I didn’t get charges but I did get multiple emails letting me know that my payment couldn’t be completed.

They really need to get on top of stuff over there.

Cancellation must be made by the 15th which in my case meant it would have to be cancelled before the box arrived. I ran into a problem when I purchased the 6 month sub and glossy automatically renewed without any notification whatsoever. When I received my last box I attempted to cancel but since it was after the 15th they denied my request. I hadn’t received the next box – imagine the sub ended in April and on Apr 24 when I received the box I decided I would not renew. I requested to cancel and they said no. After a bit of aggravation and disputing with my CC it was refunded. If only they would send out a courtesy email stating something like “Hope you enjoyed the subscription we’re going to resubscribe you now for 6 more months”. That would have been appreciated. Sadly I enjoyed the subscription but wanted a break over the summer. Now I’m soured by the experience. So go ahead and get it but cancel before you receive the box. Weird, right?!
