Does anyone else get the feeling that Birchbox is losing customers with some of the deals they’ve been throwing out there lately? I know I cancelled months ago (close to a year ago I think now.)

It seemed like I was getting the same stuff over and over again, and there was just so MUCH variety to what you might and might not get, I never bothered looking at their “sneak peeks” because I knew I was not likely to get any of the stuff they showed. At least with Ipsy, they show the majority of the stuff they are sending out, even if it isn’t all of the options.

Also it seemed like Birchbox was constantly sending out hair stuff, like single use shampoo samples, and a lot of foil packets. I just finally got to the point that I was just done. Ipsy seems to send out way more deluxe samples and full size products. (I’m only comparing those two because of the price point.)

What I’ve realized with BB, is that I really don’t like them as a subscription (waiting forever for samples I generally didn’t like), but I really do like them for just buying full size items from. There’s always something extra / enticing / special going on when I need to get my full size products.

I agree, their purchase incentives are usually pretty good for the full size items that I can’t get at Sephora.
