Wantable Style Edit Subscription Box Review – August 2015 Details

Here is my order invoice. The merchandise total is $588 and the keep-all discount is $147, so factoring that in plus the $20 credit, this box would cost $421 to keep all five items. (Roughly $84 an item).

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Box Review – August 2015 Letter

These are my preferences for the Style Edit subscription. I decided to go with a more edgy/rock look.

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Box Review – August 2015 Jeans

7 for all Mankind High Waisted Ankle Skinny Jeans - Cost to Keep $198

I'm having a hard time finding this exact wash on the 7 for all Mankind site, so I linked to a similar pair of jeans. High waisted + Skinny = my dream jean combination, so I was excited to try these on. (And also not-excited because I didn't want to fall in love with a $200 pair of jeans).

The info sheet describes these as a "second skin fit," and they definitely fit like a glove. I also have no denim in this shade, so I'm trying to convince myself that I'll wear them enough to justify the cost!

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Box Review – August 2015 Blazer

BB Dakota Kayson Jacket - Cost to Keep $88 (Retails on ShopBop for $105!)

I tend to steer clear of formal pieces, but this is the right mix of formal and relaxed for me. I really like how the blazer drapes. My only issue is the sleeves - they seem large on the wrist end. I rolled them up, and liked the look even more, so I guess it isn't really much of an issue at all.

This is definitely a potential keeper.

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Box Review – August 2015 Tank

Tart Collections Sapphire Top - Value $88

This is a pricey tank for me, but I was still interested in trying it on since I love the Tart brand (and the tarte brand too -Tart for maxis, and tarte for mascara!).

This tank has an inner shelf bra which isn't enough for support, but definitely a welcome lifeline for a strapless bra!

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Box Review – August 2015 Tank Back

It's a loose waist top, but it drapes beautifully. I would definitely keep it if the price point was lower.

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Box Review – August 2015 Black Dress

Tart Collections Rakel Dress - Cost to Keep $148

More Tart! This is such a cute mini dress. I like the cutouts in the skirt, but the waist of the skirt isn't my favorite - I would have preferred it to be more fitted given the material.

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Box Review – August 2015 Blue Dress

Jack Brioni Dress - Cost to Keep $70

So far I've noticed a lot of Jack (BB Dakota) and BB Dakota in these Wantable Style Edit boxes - which is fine with me!

I really like the mod look of this dress, and the blue is a great pop for color for an otherwise black/white/grey box! The top part is a little loose on me, otherwise I would have considered keeping this one.

Wantable Style Edit Subscription Box Review – August 2015 Blue Dress Back

Verdict: I'm not crazy about the total $421 cost to keep for this box (but I guess that's inevitable if you include $200 jeans). I am really impressed with the stylist picks for Wantable Style Edit. Everything in this box is my taste, and if wasn't for some fit/pricing concerns, I would keep every single item.

What do you think of Wantable Style Edit? How do you feel it compares to Stitch Fix?

7 jeans are constantly on clearances. I understand paying full retail price for items that rarely have mark downs (looking at you…Rachel Roy and Marc Jacobs) but it’s silly to pay full price for something that’s going to be 60% off in a month or two. I would get very frustrated with this box.

I received one of these boxes when it first came out. I liked the different style they represent but the price points are just too high for me. I ended up cancelling this month as there are many other options (Stitch Fix, Diya, Relish) that offer more affordable options.

For the jeans, keep in mind there are 2 similar named brands: 7 For All Mankind and Se7en. The former is high end and the latter is not.

I haven’t been thrilled with this service. They take forever to ship and then everything is really expensive. I cancelled my subscription, but I may try it again after they have had more run time.

Stitchfix is more timely with shipments, almost always nails my size and style, and they have a better price point.

Liz 7 jeans are on clearance on Macy’s.com especially in that style of pant. I really suggest looking online. I have seen them as low 15.99 in regular women’s AND plus sizes!!

6pm.com have amazing prices for tart, Bob Dakota and seven.. I even scored great deals on Seven jeans on Groupon.. Would never pay full prize!!

I love that brand of jeans but always purchase them at Saks off fifth or nordstroms rack, the $200 price tag is too much for me but the fit is AMAZING. $70 or less and they are always mine! Seriously 7 for all mankind rocks when it comes to jeans.

I got a pair of 7 for Mankind jeans for $30 on Thredup.

I stopped at the jeans, lol. I thought I would have a heart attack if I continued! You should have posted that pair of jeans last, Liz. I wonder if people really purchase high priced items? Jeans? Omg…

That is a really great jacket/blazer!

Your stylist did a nice job sticking to the rock theme.

What a great box! I’m in love with the first three items you got! The dresses aren’t my style, but I still like them. It looks like the fabrics used are nice. It’s a good thing they don’t offer plus sizes because I couldn’t handle the $421 price tag, but I’d be tempted!

They are now offering plus sizes starting this month (July 31st shipping). I subscribed for 3 months and then canceled prices were just to high. There clothes are very high quality.
