BlackBox by Cult Cosmetics Subscription Box Review August 2015 - 1

NYL Organic Shimmer Scrub  2 oz  - Value: $9.50

Just for the record, this is a good sized sample, but it’s actually not the full sized version.  Full-sized is 8oz and runs for $38.00, (but I love scrubs no matter what size they are).  It smells like a grapefruit with a few Equal sugars sprinkled on top! Delicious.

Cult Cosmetics Makeup Bag - Value: $4.00?

I give a lot of my beauty bags from Ipsy to Abigail to play with.  This one is made of a thick plastic.  I’m going to put this one away for our trip.  I’m sure it will come in handy.

Knotty Pyramid Studs - Value:  $24.99?

Simple yet pretty!  These earrings are no longer for sale on the Knotty website, but I was able to find a similar sized pair at this price.  I like that I can wear some stylish earring without my kids yanking them out.

Cult Cosmetics Nail Polish in Melrose Place 0.5 oz - Value: $12.00 described as a metallic silver

Cult Cosmetics Nail Polish in Sunset Blvd 0.5 oz - Value: $12.00 described as a metallic gold

I didn’t have anything in my nail polish collection like these two.  I’m really impressed with both shades.  I’m planning on using the silver as a stripe and the gold as an accent nail color.

Verdict:  I estimated a retail value of about $62.50 for this box.  I’m really happy with the pigmentation and how well a single coat covers.  Abigail hates sitting around for a second coat.  She suckers me into painting her nails twice a week and tends to pick out a Cult Cosmetics polish frequently.  I know she will be excited to see even more color options from this brand in the near future.

What did you think of this nail polish subscription box?  I’m wondering what will be next month’s polishes with Fall coming soon.

I’m taking a break from other stuff and decided to read a review on what I thought was going to be a goth makeup box. Imagine my surprise when I saw all the pretty colors and pictures!

My little guy uses my extra makeup bags for storing legos. He’s not fussy and uses them for little or special legos. It’s nice reading that you paint Abigail’s nails. I have all boys and don’t get to do fun things like that.

It looks like a fun box with pretty nail colors and a body scrub! The earrings look decent although I don’t know much about earrings.

Hi PA Anna! All boys, I guess that only means you get all the pampering in your house. Maybe you could have a play date with your nieces if you have any nearby? Having a mini me is so much fun. It’s like having a Barbie doll that walks and talks…but has an attitude. Lol

Well…..I was about to order, until I noticed multiple messages from members on FB (on the bottom of the page linked in this post) pretty upset, demanding that someone call them back about the amount charged to their card! So, I am going to wait and see on this one. Please keep us updated if you here anything….

If we’re seeing the same thing, those comments are from a year ago. I don’t see anything recent?

I didn’t look at the dates, but, they were located at the bottom right hand corner of the page linked in the review, from FB users……

Looks like a great sub box! With 50% off, I think I’ll have to give it a try! Thanks for the review!
